"I will never give up as long as I possess the curiosity to wonder what may happen next."

"I never got an A in my 17 years of living," Evan says his messy dark hair sticking out in every direction as he holds our assignment in his hands, his eyes wide open at the large red A at the corner of the page.

"We got an A." I remind him for the third time. A part of me was happy, because of how a good mark could make him this happy. Studying was the only thing I knew how to do. And although I don't mean to sound conceited I was used to it. Getting good grades, so that I could get into a good university.

"Can't you just let me enjoy this glamorous moment without adding one of your unnecessary comments?" He asks with a dramatic pout and I roll my eyes at his overreaction.

"Alright, I'll leave you staring at the piece of paper in peace," I sigh walking over to Harper who was sitting alone in the corner of the room, and I swear I could see a sad dark era surrounding her.

"Are you worshipping Satan or what?" I ask her sarcastically and she rolls her eyes,

"Conner didn't text me back for 2 hours!" she said looking at her phone,

"Harper, he has classes too." I remind her

"He always texts me in class!" She protests

I wanted to tell her that it was stupid to get upset over not getting a text back, but she would argue about how I didn't 'understand' relationships since I've never been in one. So instead I quickly thought of a theory, "Maybe he got his phone taken away." I gulped hoping I was right.

"You're right! How come I never thought of that!" She said and her pout was replaced by a smile when when her phone buzzed.

She smiled at the screen before looking back at me, "He said he got his phone taken, you're always right."

I was proud of my obvious assumption, but I quickly regretted that.

"Well, since you sort of helped me, I'll help you with your soon to be boyfriend," she said smirking at me.

"I don't know who you're talking about, but I swear if you're going to set me up with one of Conner's friends I will-" I begin speaking but she interrupts me,

"You know who I'm talking about," she said holding out her index figure to point out at Evan and I almost choked.

"I don't like him!" I protested putting her hand down or else he was going to bombard me with questions later as to why my friend was pointing at him in our free period.

"You guys have hang out almost everyday now, it's obvious you have a thing for each other," she reasoned

"Absolutely not." I argued, we were nothing more than acquaintances.

She sighed, "I feel bad for the poor guy trying to get you, no matter how many hints he throws you'll never figure it out."

"I hate you." I joke punching her arm

"You love me," She replies

That's when an idea popped to my head, "How about we sit with them at lunch today, I'll prove to you that I don't like him." I say

"Them?" She asks confused, "Doesn't he always sit alone beside the dumpster?"

I sigh at her choice of words, "He has friends too,"

"I'd love to meet them soon," she replies sarcastically

I roll my eyes, "You probably know Ethan,"

"First of all, I'm a bit disappointed in your taste in guys, I never imagined you'd end up with a druggie bad boy who never shows up to school, but I'll still support you anyways, and no I probably don't know any of his so called friends," She explains, and I fail to deliver to her the point that he's not a druggie.

"He's not a druggie, also Ethan is completely different from him," I wondered how someone as cheerful and happy as Ethan could be best friends with Evan, but he always cared for him which I found heartwarming.

Our conversation was interrupted by the bell ringing and Harper and I get up to leave, I was excited about Harper meeting Ethan and Evan.

I was waiting beside Harper at her locker when Conner headed over to us, before he could grab Harper I interrupted, "You'll have to sit alone today because I'll be stealing Harper,"

He sighed but went along with it anyway and walked over to his friends.

After grabbing our trays, I grabbed Harper and we started heading towards Ethan and Evan.

"Try to be nice to them," I nudged her

"No promises," she replied.

We reach there table and I quickly introduce her, "This is my friend Harper," I tell them,

"Best friend," she adds, and I remembered Ethan saying that the first time Evan introduced us.

"Harper this is Evan and Ethan," I wasn't sure how to introduce them, "Ethan is my friend," I smirk and Evan glares at me.

"Nice to meet you Harper," Ethan says making room for Harper next to him,

Evan, however, didn't say anything which bothered me, and definitely her. I knew she wasn't going to stop talking about how rude he was for the next 2 weeks.

"Are you coming to the café tonight?" I ask Evan.

"I don't know, do you want me to come?" He asked with a smirk,

I nudged him, "You're such an asshole, why do I even hang around with you?"

"Because you're obsessed with me," he grinned.

"Please don't use the term obsessed, that's reserved for Channing Tatum," I reply.

"Alright then, you're addicted to me." He said with a sheepish smile,

"I am not." I reply narrowing my eyes at him,

"You are,"

"Am not."

"You are,"

"Am not,"

"Am not," he said.

"I am," I said before covering my mouth after realized I had fallen into his trap,  I couldn't believe I had just said that.

He grinned at me, "I win,"

"I never lose!" I protest

"There's a first for everything," he reasoned,

It was then that I realized I had forgotten all about Harper and Ethan, I looked over at them, they seemed to be getting along very well. Harper was laughing at something that Ethan said putting a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear, Ethan smiled, his dimples showing, it was the first time I noticed he had dimples, but they suited him. Was it wrong for me to think that Ethan and Harper would make a perfect couple?
