The Day My Life Changed

FRANK'S POV

It was a warm, summer day in New Jersey, just like any other morning of my boring, lonely, and everyday life I was headed to get coffee. I almost couldn't function without it really, it had gotten to the point where I needed multiple cups a day. I was walking down the street, cigarette in my hand and avoiding other people walking the streets. Smoking was a bad habit I had picked up as a teenager that I really tried to drop, but anything I did couldn't stop me. It was something that took away my pain, so maybe that is the reason it's impossible to stop. I took up a lot of bad habits when i was younger though. I had gotten to the coffee shop, ordered a large coffee and a muffin and sat down at an empty table. This was a pretty busy shop so I was always really used to the same people being here everyday. Every once and a while I would find someone new, of course no one I wanted to talk to because I am an antisocial little prick.

 Today was different though, I found a guy probably about my age. He was skinny, pale, and had bright red hair. He was wearing black skinny jeans, combat boots and a Misfits tank top. He caught my eye like no one else ever has. Instead of staring, I decided to start scrolling through tumblr on my computer. Occasionally I would look up and direct my view to where he was sitting and quickly look back down to see if he had noticed me. Okay I will admit it, I haven't even said one word to the guy and I already had a major crush on him. I couldn't help it though he was so striking, everything about him, his facial features, his arms, even his hands. I was really into drawing and of course his perfect features made me want to draw him, but you don't just go up to strangers and say "Hi I saw you sitting across the shop, do you mind if I draw you?" I kept to myself and eventually he had left, I didn't notice right away but once I did I was crushed, scared, and relieved all at the same time.
