''Happy birthday my little chicken nugget!'' Eve's voice echoed throughout my apartment. I groaned, burying my head into my pillow and throwing my duvet over my body. The only thing on my mind was, why the hell was she here and how did she even get in? I could hear Eve groan and I resisted the urge to giggle at her.
''Wait, did you say birthday?'' I asked confused, my voice slightly muffled from the pillow. ''What day is it?''
''June 27th, how do you even forget your own birthday?'' She asked, ripping the blanket off of me. I shuddered at how cold it got, after all, I am just wearing one of Luke's old shirts and underwear. She squealed, covering her eyes and attempting to run away but ran right into the door. My laughs filled the once quiet room as I got out of bed.
''I've been really busy lately, Evie, you know that.'' I rolled my eyes, walking over to my drawer and pulling a pair of joggers up my legs. As soon as I walked out of the door Lila ran right into me, I stumbled a bit before glaring at her. ''What is with you guys being clumsy assholes today?" I grumbled, running my fingers through my knotty hair.
''Rose, Rose! Hold on!'' Lila yelled, running into the kitchen with Eve trailing behind her. Both of them gasped for air even though they only ran ten feet. ''Look at this article, holy shit!'' She shoved her phone into my hands and pointed at the article with the heading, Luke Hemmings break up?
Apparently there's trouble in paradise for our Aussie lead singer. According to our sources, Hemmings and his girlfriend Blaire Nicolette were spotted fighting until Nicolette was fleeing the scene in tears. This is great news for girls out there! Hemmings was also spotted leaving a party store with balloons and a huge teddy bear. Could this be an apology gift for Nicolette? Stay with us and we'll find out more.
That was such a shitty article. I glanced at Lila through my lashes, furrowing my eyebrows together. Eve smacked her arm, rolling her eyes when she noticed the small smile making it's way on my lips. I wanted to jump with joy, show the whole world my excitement. I wanted to shout out the window about how happy I was at the moment. This was an amazing birthday present.
"You could've possibly ruined Luke's surprise for, Rosie Posie." I glared at Eve before opening the fridge and taking out a pizza box, taking a slice out and just eating it cold. Lila shrieked in disgust as I ate the cold pizza. "How do you even do that, you ignorant son of a bitch?" Eve scrunched her nose up as I shrugged my shoulders, throwing the now empty pizza box in the trash.
"You look like shit by the way." Lila pointed out. I groaned in annoyance, a small smile tugging at my lips once more. Eve made herself at home like she normally does, spreading herself out on the couch and flipping through the movies on Netflix. I carried my pizza into the living room and plopping onto one of the recliners, Lila following in suit and groaning when she noticed there was no more seats left.
''How'd you guys get in here anyway?" I questioned through a mouthful of pizza. Eve looked at me with an amused smile before shrugging her shoulders and clicking on Grey's Anatomy making me shriek. ''Yes! This is my shit!'' I yelled enthusiastically, throwing my hands in the air.
Four episodes of Grey's Anatomy later, I woke up seeing Eva and Lila were asleep, spooning on the couch. I wiped the excess saliva off my chin before jumping when someone pounded on my door. Rubbing my eyes and somewhat fixing my hair, I slowly got up from the recliner I was in and walked toward my door. Without looking through the peephole I swung the door open revealing eight people that I've grown to love as a family.
''Happy birthday!'' They all screamed in unison and soon after I was squished into a hug between the Hemmings twins. Grace beamed at me, pushing Luke away and dragging me inside. Eve and Lila were now awake, Grey's Anatomy still playing on the tv. Calum screeched like a little girl, grabbing Maddie's hand and dragging her onto the couch with him to watch.
''I look like shit.'' I grumbled, ruffling my hair in the mirror. Luke came up behind me, looking through the mirror and shook his head.
''You look great,'' He smiled and I rolled my eyes.
''You're only saying that because it's my birthday.'' I muttered, crossing my arms. This time Luke rolled his eyes, putting his hand on my back. I looked behind me seeing everyone focused on the tv.
''No, I'm saying it because you always look great.'' I scoffed but smiled. ''Look, I have something to tell you.'' He muttered, grabbing my hand, looking back at everyone then dragged me into my room. I gave him a skeptical look, yanking my hand away. I sat on my bed, patting the spot next to me as he sat down.
He put his head in his hands, taking a deep breath. ''Blaire and I were never really in a relationship, well, I mean, we were but not willingly on my part. Management forced me to date her for publicity, that's another reason I hate them so much. I ''broke up'' with her today because I love you, Roselyn Faith Winton. I love you so much I don't know what to do with myself. I know you might not love me back for what I did, but I don't care. I. Love. You.''
I'm speechless. Him and Blaire were forced to date. He loves me.
Before he could say anything else I kissed him, straddling his hips. His hands snaked around my back and he pressed against me so there was no more space in between us. All I felt was excited and bubbly as our lips moved together. He pressed me against the bed and I giggled into the kiss, my fingers tugging at his hair causing him to groan. I pulled away from the kiss, resting my forehead against his, smiling. I opened my eyes, meeting his intense blue eyes.
''I love you too, Luke Robert Hemmings.'' I mumbled, kissing his lips again causing him to sigh in relief.
Let me start off with how sorry I am about how crappy this chapter is and how sorry I am for not updating. I've been so busy with school and everything so updates will be pretty delayed.
