I could feel my best friend's eyes on me as I packed my last suitcase. She has been doing this lately and to be quite honest it was scary.
Lila has never stayed quiet over two minutes for the entire four years we've been friends. I could see that she was upset I was going back to Australia but she had to understand that Australia is my home.
Lila and I both majored in journalism but we soon ditched the whole college idea and winged it after our second year at NYU. I became a photographer.
I never realized how much I love taking pictures before, I released my stress that way. I began to take up photography after I figured out about Luke and his first new girlfriend that wasn't me.
Oh, apparently Luke is famous now.
I guess we never really got the time to know each other. I never knew the boy liked to sing. I mean, I knew that he played the guitar.
It was weird seeing his face on magazines and almost everywhere I go, it was quite impossible to forget about him that way.
Lila followed me silently to the car as I packed my last suitcase. We both hopped into my car without saying a word.
The car ride to the airport was silent except for the music playing softly in the background. In the middle of driving a 5 Seconds of Summer song came on causing Lila to smile, turning up the volume. I frowned, changing the station. Lila turned to me her face angry and sad.
"Rose, what's up with you? Every time a 5sos song comes on or I mention them you get really sad or change the subject." I bit my lip, avoiding her eyes and trying to focus on the road, and suddenly I was happy when the airport came into view.
"Just drop it Lila." I muttered. Lila scoffed.
"No I'm not going to fucking drop it. Tell me Rose, now." I rolled my eyes and tightened my grip on the wheel, my knuckles gradually turning white.
"I said drop it!" I snapped causing her to jump at the tone of my voice. I felt instantly bad but shook it off as I pulled into the airport parking lot.
"Look Lila, I'm sorry." I apologized when she handed me one of my suitcases.
"It's fine, I just want to know why you always get upset." I sighed, kicking one of the rocks that was on the pavement.
"I used to be Luke's girlfriend in high school, before I came here."

@Rosewphotography: Australia here I come! :)
My finger hovered over Grace's name, wanting to call. I haven't talked to her in three years and she was one of my best friends. I took a deep breath before hitting the call button, it only ringing twice before she picked up.
"Rose!" She answered cheerily. I smiled, not regretting my decision to call her.
"Guess what?" There was a brief silence on the other line and I giggled when I realize she was actually trying to guess. I could hear her sigh before someone screamed on the other end. I jumped, almost dropping my phone.
"Shut up Michael!" She yelled. I laughed loudly, covering my mouth when somebody gave me a weird look.
"I'm coming back to Australia!" I whisper-yelled into my phone. Once again I heard a scream, but it was Grace's. I smiled.
"Mikey! Ash! Cal! Rose is coming back!" Grace yelled. I grinned when I could hear the boys, who I haven't talked to in almost four years, scream. It made me happy that they were happy that I was coming back.
"I can't wait!" I said through the phone causing Grace to squeal once more.
"When does your plane land?" She asked when everyone calmed down. I checked my phone.
"About two hours left."

I walked off the plane, taking a huge breath. Oh, how I missed Australia. My eyes widened at the massive crowd standing before me. Maybe a celebrity decided to come to Australia the same time I did.
My eyes scanned the crowd immediately finding someone holding a big sign with my name on it. I furrowed my eyebrows then smiled when I saw the bleached blonde hair of Michael Clifford.
I pushed my way through the crowd and ran into Grace, instantly wrapping my arms around her. I felt the tears slip out of my eyes.
I felt the boys come in for a group hug but instantly frowned when I didn't see Luke. Where was he?
Probably with his girlfriend. My brain screamed. I shook it off, grinning and waving at my old friends awkwardly.
"I've missed you guys so fucking much!" I said through tears. Grace smiled and hugged me again.
"Let's go home."
This is so short and bad I'm sorry. So much for trying to make this sound good. Every chapter is going to switch povs and that's why this chapter is Rose, the next will be Luke and so on.
