For a moment everything was calm....

It was still and quite, to quite. The air tensed up and the room felt smaller, like it was slowly shrinking around her. Then she started to hear it, a whispering rumbling sound. Her puppy started barking like crazy. Everything started to shake, the chairs, the table, and all the glass plates hit off each other.

"Mommy! Mommy! What's going on?!?!?"

Sarah cried out for help, reaching for something to hold onto before falling onto her knees. The walls and ceiling started to crack, the tremors were becoming stronger. The glass table wear fell off the shelves and broke onto the floor with a loud shatter, the pictures on the wall seemed to hop off one by one.

"Mommy please help me"

A faint voice came from the kitchen. It was Sarah's mom, but she sounded distant.

"Sarah, sweetie?"

"Yes momma"

"Let's play hide and seek"

"Mommy not right now"

Sarah was confused by this, maybe mommy is used to these things.

"Sarah pleaaaase"

"Ok mommy"

"Go and hide and don't come out until you can see the sky"

"What?"

Everything was quite again. Sarah didn't know what her mom meant by that, but Sarah ran and hide under the couch. The whole house kept shaking and cracking until the walls split, the ceiling caved in and then......

Everything.
Fell.
Apart.
