Mira gently tucked the little tiger cub into her nest. The cub was still in conscious. She sat down in the nest and covered the cub with her soft wing.
Greely and Peck carefully placed the berries they had gathered in the nest. They grabbed a few berries to eat, then sat down near the nest.
Peck looked over the side of the nest.
"Mira?"
"Yes?" Mira looked over to Peck.
"Will he be ok?" Peck asked, her ears folded down in worry.
Mira smiled and patted the little bunny on the head.
"He will be fine. He is just tired." Mira replied.
Greely snarled to himself, then ate a mouthful of berries. He had been on edge ever since they had found the tiger cub. It didn't seem like he was taking the new arrival very well. However, Peck seemed excited at the thought of having a new friend.
Mira, was worried. This slowly growing family of lost and orphaned animals relied on her. She couldn't let them down. No matter what.
