grace.
"What I'm trying to say..." The quivering boy's lips began to tremble. His words pouring out of him like the tears that were begging to be released from his eyes. His eyes that were attached to the floor, daring not to look into hers.
His love.
"I like you! I like you Grace!" Within seconds, the boy was confessing to her. Gushing out his feelings he had felt since he first laid eyes on her or so the boy says. The astonished girl just stood there and listened. And listened. And listened. Of course the words flattered her, but she couldn't just lead the guy on.
"Brady." Her angelic voice interrupted the boy's nonstop flow of emotions. She reached over and kindly cradled his shoulder causing him to instantly tense.
"Y-You're touching me..." Brady's glasses began to fog and his knees began to wobble.
"You're a very sweet guy, Brady. You really are... I just believe you deserve better."
"No! Grace please!" His hands awake from his sides and grasped hers, clutching them tight. "You're the only one for me. I like you Grace Boyd!" The boy desperately pleaded.
Grace Boyd. Grace had the skin complexion of smooth mahogany wood. Her hair wisped into curls that unraveled from her head to her back. Her body molded as a hourglass figure. She was physically attractive to all. Her eyes light up the room with a single wink.
It seemed like all envied her. Yet for her, it was a curse. Grace hated the fact people fell in love with her features. She hated how'd she had to reject others since they were so intrigued by her physique.
Her plump slightly discolored lips slowly craved into a weak smile.
"Brady. We met a month ago... Please don't take this the wrong way but I think we should at least get to know each other better."
It wasn't like she didn't know of him. She knew Brady. The two would occasionally wave at one another in the hall and maybe even sit next to one another in a class period. Yet she just couldn't see him that way.
Instantly the boy's eyes lit up and it was like he was born again. "Sure! I-I'd like that. "
Grace half heartily smiled and nodded. "Great, okay! I guess I'll see you around then?"
"Of course! But before you leave...can I get a hug?" Grace's fingers clenched her backpack tight and balled them into fists. With a bite of her tongue, she politely reached forward and hugged the fidgety boy. Immediately the boy wrapped his arms around her waist, his grip binded together like a tight belt. Her hair swallowed Brady's face as he willingly buried himself within it.
"Alright... I think it's time to let go, Brady." Grace weakly spoke in his ear, pushing lightly against him. Which made him only groan and adjust his nose into her neck causing Grace to panic. His grip surprisingly strong for someone scrawny.
"Uh, Brady. Please..let-"
"AY! Let go of her!"
Instantly, Brady let go of Grace, backing off of her like a cat that touched water. The voice belonged to the quarter back of A team football, Max Chamberlain. Just the sight of him imitated both confessioner and confessiee. Causing him to flee, leaving the Grace alone with the bulky football player.
"Hey, you alright?" He extended his hands to comfort her yet she denied the offer. She had been touched enough for the day.
"Yeah! I'm fine, thank you for your help. " She forcefully smiled in gratitude. She wanted to get out of there. The whole situation was embarrassing and she was already late for work. She appreciated the attention and kindness yet she had better things to do. As she was about the turn away, the teenage boy yelled out towards her, stopping her in her tracks.
