Chapter 1

I woke up to my alarm blasting out Bring Me the Horizon- Drown at 6:50 in the morning. Me being the idiot that I am started to rock out and sing to my mirror imagining a crowd of people watching me.

I quickly jumped in the shower then dried my hair and placed it in a messy bun, I wore my blink182 top, my black skinny jeans and placed my white converse on my feet, I put minimal makeup on just concealer powder and mascara, by the time it was 8:00, great time for work.

Sorry I didn't introduce myself, my name is Rae Collins, I am 17 years old and I have brown hair, which is wavy and quite long, I have blue eyes and I'm short at about 5"2. I have a boyfriend his name is Will he has tanned skin and dark brown hair, we've been together for two years. I don't live in a very good neighbourhood gangs roam it, as well as that my mom died when I was 15, and since then my dad hasn't been the same we had to move from our lovely house in the country, because dad stopped working, so we couldn't afford to live there anymore. I have to look after my little brother Tyde too he's only three, so I have to do everything for him, I don't really have a social life except for when I go to work and he goes to nursery, I don't mind looking after him though he's no hassle I just wish I had a childhood, and didn't have to be full time mum.

I know what you're thinking 17 and a work, well someone's got to pay the bills so I dropped out of school and now I work at Starbucks and part time at a radio station being an assistant. I don't get paid a lot but we get along somehow.

I quickly get Tyde dressed and ready for nursery, I make sure that we leave the house quietly so that my dad doesn't shout at us because then Tyde would get upset, and that never ends well for the both of us.

I buckle up Tyde into the car seat, as I'm getting into the car I see someone lurking by the bus stop across the road staring at me, they were wearing a black hoodie, ripped skinny jeans, sunglasses and some army boots, curiosity takes the best of me and I start to walk towards them, but they catch on to what I'm doing and walk away briskly. Eventually I get into the car, "Hey buddy you ready for nursery?", I ask Tyde very sweetly because he is just the cutest, "YEAH!" He shouts in his adorable little voice.

After I drop Tyde off at nursery and get a load of goodbye kisses I arrive at Starbucks, bring on a busy day full of coffee stains and shouting, great, just great.
