I finished up at work, the day had gone incredibly slow, I messed up every single order which meant that I ended up in my bosses office, she yelled at me for fifteen minutes straight. I jumped in my car and went to go pick up Tyde.

"Hey buddy how was nursery?" I asked Tyde when I picked him up. "I drew a butterfly!" Tyde excitedly told me. "Really, that's awesome" I replied to him. "Rae can we go to maccies pleassssse?" He said dragging out his words. "Sorry buddy not tonight maybe on the weekend, yeah?" I felt so bad he hardly ever gets treats, and I feel so bad having to deny him one but we just can't afford it. I felt so much worse when he replied with just a simple "okay", his voice was so squeaky and so upsetting to hear from a usual little ball of joy.

When we arrived home dad wasn't in, must be at the pub and I needed to cook dinner before he got back or the night wouldn't end well. "Tyty shall we go to the shop, I'll even get you a lollipop while we're there, yeah?" He didn't seem very persuaded but he was coming whether he liked it or not.

Getting to the shop felt like forever, Tyde had a tantrum on the way, he's really been pushing my buttons lately, but really he's all I've got.
