¤ Chapter Three ¤

"Comon hurry up it's time. Do I look alright?" Jane was worried about her first date with Juliun. She wondered what would happen if it went wrong? Would Juliun hate her forever?

Cassidy reassured her. "Stop worrying you'll be fine." She gave jane a pat on the back. "Go on he's waiting."

Worrying too much, Jane nervously walked towards Juliun who was waiting for her outside the WI building. He gave her a little wave.

"Hey!" He said.

"Hi, sorry was I late?"

"Oh no you were fine"

Juliun held out his hand for Jane and they walked to the restaurant. It was a modern brown building with two floors. It had large lights reading Franko's Restaurant. Inside there were lots if round tables with white table cloths covering them. Each one with a menu on top. Two wooden chairs were put at each table.

A man wearing a white apron approached the couple.

"Welcome to Franko's. I will show you to your seat. Two is it? Right this way."
Jane and Juliun glanced at eachother and followed the waitor.
"I will give you sone time to decide what you want."

Juliun took a look at the menu.
"What do you fancy having?"

"I'm vegetarian so I'll have the salad."

"I'll have the same."

"So what kind of stuff do you like doing in your spare time?" Jane asked.

"Oh not much maybe a bit of art. What 'bout you?"

"I like to write. Do you learn any second languages?"

"Apprendre le français comme langue seconde. I learn french."

Jane smiled. " Aprendo español como segunda lengua."
They both laughed then the waiter came back.

"May I take your order please?"

"We'll both have the normal salad and lemonade please"

The waiter walked off to go and prepare their order.

"So tell me about yourself Mrs Reading."

"Well I'm a single mother of three. My six year old son Daniel my other ten year old son Joseph and my fifteen year old daughter Emma."

"So you've been married before?"

"Yeah but it didn't work out the way I expected."

"Oh I'm sorry about that."

Jane laughed, "No need to be sorry. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Isn't it. "

"Yeah I guess. Hey! I think our orders are here."

The waiter came back but this time with a trolley of food on it. He set out Jane and Juliun's dish on the table and they began to eat.

When they finished their food Juliun payed the bill and walked Jane home.

"Today was great I really enjoyed it."

They stopped outside Jane's apartment and shared their first kiss together.

"Good night." They both said and went their different ways.

Jane walked in to her house and found Emma sat at the window. She had been watching her and Juliun.

"Finally it was about time. WHO WAS THAT!!" jane could sewme the curiosity on her daughters face.

"That was my new boyfriend Juliun." Jane answered proudly.

"Cool is he rich?"

Jane laughed "cmon go to bed. We'll talk about this another time." Jane went to Joseph and Daniel's room to check on them. She saw them both sleeping like cubs. She then went to her room kicked off her shoes and lay down on her bed. Soon she fell fast asleep.

The next morning she woke up to find a letter in the post. She opened it and read.

"♡♡Dear Jane ♡♡

Thank you for that wonderful night yesterday I really enjoyed it. I was wondering if you would kindly introduce me to your children sometime. I'd like to meet them first because one day im sure they will become my children too. Message me when your available.

Love Juliun xxx"

" Hey Emma, Joe, Danny come see this. Juliun would like me to introduce you to him what do you say?"

"When and what time" Emma asked "I need to look my best."

Jane gasped "Speaking of time. What time is it?"

Joseph looked at his watch. "Its half past 7. "

"Im 1 hour late for work!!"

"Hey wait mum. Theres a voice message on the phone."

Jane pressed the button and the message began to play.

"MRS READING YOU HAVEN'T TURNED UP TO WORK AND YOU HAVEN'T CALLED IN! I AM HAVING TO MANY ISSUES WITH YOU READING AND IM FED UP! SO IM SORRY TO SAY THIS BUT.........YOU'RE FIRED!!!"

"Oh no. No no no!! NO. NOW WHAT!!"

"You need to find another job. But how?"

Jane sat on the chair and put her head in her hands. She had no job which meant no money. Now how was she going to provide for her kids.

"Right you guys go to school. Ill figure out a way. Ok. Be good."

"Bye mom."
"See ya"
"Bye bye mom"

Her kids left and Jane began to cry. She had nobody to help her.
