¤ Chapter Five ¤

"NO! You can't!" Exclaimed Jane.

Juliun laughed so loudly he began to cough. "Oh yes I can and I've got a deal for you."

Jane gave Juliun a dirty look and gestured him to continue speaking.

"I won't touch them if you don't call the police....AND.....It comes with an extra offer. If you tell NOBODY and I mean NOBODY i'll get your job back."

"You can do that?"

Jane thought about it for a moment. Cassy was her best friend and if cassy was here she would want her to turn down the amazingly tempting offer. But what about....

"What's it going to be babe?" Juliun rudley interrupted Jane's thinking. Jane hesitated. Yes or no? Yes or no? Her head said no but her heart said yes. She had to go with her heart.

"Deal." Jane felt terrible. What kind of a best friend was she? She wanted Juliun jailed but that was one deal she couldn't afford to turn down. No matter how badly she wanted to.

Jane Reading miserably made her way back to her flat. On the way she saw Juliun go to the bakery. She couldn't bare to think about Cassidy Green's tragic death. To take her mind off it Jane made herself a cup of tea and watched abit of her favourite tv show Flowers Street. Where different streets had to decorate their streets with flowers and make their gardens as colourful as possible. It didn't help at all though. One Cassidy's street went on.

Unexpectedly, Jane's phone went off. She had a message on LoverTime, dhe recognised the personalised rigtone she put there when she actually liked Juliun. She ignored it. Then it went off again and again. Jane nervously picked up her phone and checked the message. It they said.

"You better hold your end of the bargain or else."

Jane replied.

"I will. But.... why are you doing this?"

Juliun replied instantly as if he was already online waiting for her to.

"To save our relationship obviously."

"You'd be foolish to think that would make me love you Juliun."

"Oh darling I know deep inside your still desperate."

Jane logged out and went to put her cup of tea away when there was lots of banging on her doors and windows. She peeped out of her window and saw lots of news reports and police.

When she opened her door they all asked her loads of questions.

"Excuse me Miss Reading. You are Cassidy Green's best friend right?"

"......Yeah?" They had noticed Cassidy was missing.

"What do you know about her disappearance?"

Jane had to think of a lie quick.

"Er.... she hasn't gone. She er has gone to Crayde on holiday."

"And what do you know about Mr James Walkers death?"

"DEATH?!" Jane was shocked she remembered what Juliun said he could get her job back. Juliun did it! Jane shut the door, ran to the computer. She logged back in to LoverTime.com.

"What did you do?"

"Why I got you your job back. That was part of the deal wasn't it? Now I'm the boss and I've re-hired you."

Jane pulled her hair in stress.

"You cant just go around killing people."

"Work starts tomorrow. Don't forget Don't be late."

Just then Emma, Joe and Daniel walked in to the house.

"Whats all that."

Jane didn't say a word. She just sat there staring at the computer screen. She had no choice but to stay quiet and keep her end of the bargain.

The next day Jane turned up to work this time with Juliun as her boss. He gave her a small creepy grin from inside his new office. Suddenly the announcement speaker started talking this time with Juliun's voice.

Could Jane Reading please come to my office.

Jane nervously stood up from her seat carrying her bag and her papers. She looked around the office had changed. Instead of W.I. on the walls it said S.I. which she guesses stood for Stanford Industries. The wooden chairs had been replaced with sofas and all sorts of luxury furniture.

"So how d'ya like my new office. Pretty cosy ha?"

"Yeah."

"You managed to keep quiet Jane. Well done"

Jane kept silent. She tried to keep her speech minimal so she could get out of there. Juliun gestured her to go closer. Cautiously Jane took little steps towards Juliun. He then grabbed her hips and pulled her on to his lap. Jane remembered the last time she was this close to him. She realised that even though he killed her bestie, she still had feelings for him. Slowly, she leant forward to kiss him.

"I love you" she wispered in his ear.

"I know. Anyway after lunch break your supposed to go to the press conference and you'll be reporting back to Rudy ok?"

Jane nodded her head and went back to her desk. She thought to herself. How could she still love him after what he did. What if she was next on his list of victims? She doubted it.
