alright, as a person who is very picky about covers i'm here to give you some tips on yours. this was requested by a very adorable person (you know who you are) so here we go.

always always always make sure your covers state the title. without it it's just a picture that's most likely irrelevant to the story. yes, having a theme is nice. but it's a hundred percent better when people can actual get an idea of a story and know the title just by looking at it. because, lets be honest, this is wattpad - every single one of us judge books by their covers.

make sure the words fit onto the cover !! it's more than common that i see covers and don't know what the story is called because they words don't fit into the box. it's annoying and not pleasing to the eye. don't do it.

i'm sure we all know how to match at this point. so, make sure the colors and font look nice with the chosen picture !! please, i'm begging you. it'll be good for you.

theme's aren't necessary. but they're nice. having pictures that match/are all pleasing makes your profile look better.

i use an app called moldiv to make my covers (the ones on airguitars ) and it's free and very self explanatory. i also know of an online cover maker called canva that's simple and easy. my friend is making covers on this account as well, make sure to check it out.

please for the love of god don't use a font that's hard to read. and if your story has a cover that would cause YOU the author to not want to read it, don't use it. this is your story, you're in control. always do what looks best.

i think those are all the tips i have for now on this subject. if you have any suggestions go back over to the requests chapter and comment ! and if you have any questions on the "art of cover making" just ask :D
