True to his words after breakfast and some laziness we finally got up and went to get our bathing suits. I couldn't wait to get in that water.
Last night memories ran through my head over and over again as I changed into my two piece red bikini that had cut outs on the top and bottom parts.
I pin my hair up and went to the kids. Trinity got dress in her black and white one piece and Mina in her pink two piece. We put our matching sun hats on and followed O out.
He hasn't spoken to me since he got up. Meaning he must still be mad at me from what I said last night. I don't know why I said it it just came out.
"Is Uncle O okay?" Mina asked.
"Yea he's just ready to see the beach" I said as we walked faster to catch up.
Soon the wooden dock turned into sand. Sand started filling up our flip flops. I put on Mina's and Trinity's floaties and they ran off into the water.
I set an our area up with the umbrella's we brought and a huge blanket I stole from the hotel. I out rocks at the corner so it didn't fly away. I placed our bags down and took my shoes off.
I walked to the shoreline and let the water hit my feet. I shivered at its coldness. I didn't expect it to be cold. The kids came and dragged me in.
"See Farrah its not to bad" Trinity said
"Yea it's not too bad" I agreed.
We all played around for what seemed like hours. I was getting tired and I guess so was Odell. We told the girls to get out since we weren't gonna be there and they decided to build castles.
We headed to the spot I set up and dried off. I laid down and he sat down on his phone taking pictures if the girls who were on the other side building castles.
"Odell?"
"What" he mumbled.
"Can we talk?"
"About"
"Last night duh"
"I don't remember anything I was drunk"
"You weren't that drunk and I know you remembered so stop playing games"
"Whose playing games if it ain't you"
"I am not."
"Bringing up past situations and shit"
"I didn't mean to say that. I was just- upset"
"About what"
"I guess I was upset your slept with her"
"I am a single man with needs"
"I know but I felt like- I don't know"
"That it should've been you" he said.
"Yea" I whispered. Afraid of my own damn words but mostly my thoughts.
"What is this with us"
"I don't know"
"We gon have to figure it out before someone gets hurt" he said as the girls ran up to us
"Guys look!!" Mina jumped pointing to the castle they built.
"Wow it looks amazing!" I told them.
"Yup very abstract" Odell said
"What's that" Trini.
"Uh fancy" he said.
"That is so not what it means" I said.
"Shut up it's close enough for them to understand" he said.
