We unbuckled seat belts and got out of the car. I stumbled getting up. I haven't worn heels in months.Allah walked around the car and stood next to me. I looked up at the house. It was full of light, I could see the shadows of people dancing inside. Allah looked at me."Ready?" She was concerned again."As ready as I'll ever be." I said reassuringly. She smiled and walked toward the house. I followed but, at a much slower rate. She walked in heels like a pro. I looked like a 3 year old playing dress-up in her mom's closet. Once we got to the door she flung it open, probably trying to make the most dramatic entrance and looked back at me. I nodded. And we took our first steps into the lion's den. There were people who looked, people who stared and a few who were to drink to care. We walked in. She stood out the most. She was perfect. Hair in a pretty up-do. Eyeliner flawless. Eyelashes long and perfect. She was tall. Had perfect legs and was ready.      Then there was me. People barely took a look at me, not even close to a second look. I wasn't perfect enough to even think about doing that. My make-up looks like a 5 year old did it. My hair was in a hot mess braid and I didn't even bother trying with anything else. There were a lot of people. Some people were making out. This was what Allah called the "low " of the night.Where girls decide if they're going home with someone or not. There were still a lot cute guys hanging around. Talking. Most had their arm around around some girl or were eyeing another or sometimes both, but I could see, a lot of guys were eyeing Allah.I understand why. She's beautiful. No one took a second glance at me. "Heybabeee" Some drunk guy slurred at me. I could smell the intoxication on his breath. "Hi" I said dismissively. I turned away and faced Allah who was lost in her own fantasies about some boy she's been looking at allnight.

"Why ye goottta be soo ruuuUUUde, Babe?" The drunk boy asked. The intoxication level of his breath was overwhelming. Coming here was a big mistake, if this guy doesn't leave me alone, I might have to kill him. I poked Allah's arm and she turned around and glared at this guy, I didn't know who he was but, Allah sure hated his guts.
