Wasting all these Tears on You (Harry Styles fanfic)

Chapter 1

"Why him?" I ask my closest friend, Megan.

"Because he's a sweet guy, Jess." She replied.

"And he has an eight pack!" Hannah put in.

"Is that all you care about Hannah?" Montana asked. Caitlyn giggled as she looked up from her phone.

I was having breakfast with my best friends and they were, yet again, ,trying to find a guy that would possibly go for me. It never really worked out because I was shy and all the guys at my school wanted only one thing.. And after breaking up with my boyfriend a few months ago I wasn't sure if i even wanted another boyfriend.

"Hey! Daydreamer!!" I snapped out of my thoughts as Hannah clapped her hands infront of my face.

"I still think you and Paul would make a cute couple." Zoe put in.

"I know.. But I know and you guys know for a fact he won't go for me.." I sighed looking down at my chicken buiscut I had barely touched.

"You gonna eat that?" Hannah asked.

I shook my head pushing the food towards her. I had hardly eaten anything since we broke up.

"Jess," I looked up to see Montana staring at me. "This isn't healthy. You need to eat."

"I know.." I sighed putting my head on the table.

"You wanna go now?' Megan asked. Usually we would stay in in the cafeteria longer than today but for some reason she wanted to go and i didn't object. I stood up and saw a tall guy walking towards us.

"Hey, jess can I talk to you a minute?" He asked looking down at me.

"No one likes you Chicken Legs! Go away!" Caitlyn yelled coming up beside me and grabbing my arm. "Especially not her. Come on Jessie."

"Wait Jess." I turned as he grabbed my arm. "Please.." His eyes almost begging me to talk to him. I looked around at my freinds. Megan and Montana slightly shook there heads, they didn't want me hurt again.

 "Alec, I don't think now's a good time.." I whispered. I turned to walk away but he stopped me again.

"Tonight at church then. Please." I almost felt a tear roll down my cheek as I remebered last time we were left alone together. But before I could wipe it away, Alec's hand came up to my face and wiped it away. I stilled hated him but something inside me still wanted him.

"I'll think about it." I said. We started at each other for a few more seconds before he stepped away, allowing me to go with my friends. As we made our way back to the band hallway I heard someone call my name. "Dear Jesus.." I mumbled thinking it was Alec again. But instead I saw the principal coming over to me and my group of friends.

"Yes, sir?" I asked him. I wasn't a trouble student so it couldn't have been bad.

"We are having a new student coming either sometime today or tomorrow. He has homeroom with you and also a few of your same classes. Would you be willing to show him around?" He asked. I could hear hopefullness in his voice. Obviously he'd already asked a few people who turned him down. But I wouldn't mind showing a new student around.

"Of course. I'd love to." I told him.

"Great!!" He exclaimed. "Come by my office first thing in the morning and we'll talk, ok?"

"Okie dokie, sir." I smiled. He turned to walk away but I stopped him. "Oh, uhh... What's her name?"

"His name," He corrected me. "Is Harry. Harry Styles."
