Chapter 4

The bell rang and I packed my stuff. I walked out of class to find the tall curly-haired guy standing against the wall. He was talking to some other guys I didn't know but stopped when he saw me. A smile appeared on his face. The two guys looked in my direction and smirked at me. I walked to Harry.

"Ello love." He said in his british accent. The statment made me slightly blush.

"Hey." I told him. "Wanna go to lunch now?" I asked him. He smiled at me as I looked up to meet his gaze.

"Sure." He said. "Oh this is Zayn and Louis. They're in my second period and decided to walk with me." He said.

"Hi guys." I smiled at them.

"Why, hello." The one I assumed was Zayn grabbed my hand and planted a kiss on the back. Well he's a gentleman, I thought. I caught a glance at Harry and saw his eyes had grown to a darker shade of green. Kind of confused at the situation I decided to wait till later to bring up the subject. I saw Louis's looking at me. I returned his gaze then he spoke.

"Your Alec's girlfriend aren't you?" Should have known him and Alec were friends.

"Ex-girlfriend." I corrected him. I saw the lust appear in his eyes as what I just said sunk in.

"Oh yeah?" He asked.

"Hey Jess, let's go to lunch now." Harry said before I could reply to Louis's statement. He grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me away. I glanced back at Louis, who was talking to Zayn as they both stared after me.

 As soon as they were out of sight, Harry slowed down. I walked up beside him.

"What was that for?" I asked him.

"I saw the way they were looking at you.. And I didn't like it.." He replied not meeting my eyes.

"Oh.." I said looking down. "Harry?" I looked back up at him.

"Yes?" Harry met my gaze.

"Back there, when Zayn kissed my hand, your eyes.." I stared into the green orbs that had gone back to their normal color. "Th-They were darker than they are now.." I finished my sentence.

"I didn't like the way they were staring at you. Like you were a Antelope and they were Tigers.." He sighed taking both of my hands in his. I backed away a little.

"Lets go to lunch now." I said.

"Ok." He replied. The walk to the cafeteria was silent. Harry had released my arm and was walking closely beside me. We walked into the cafeteria and all my friends looked at us.

"What took you so long?" Zoe asked.

"I had to stay after a few minutes." I lied. I didn't want Hanna to know about mine and Harry's incident with Louis and Zayn.

"Oh ok." Everyone said. Montana looked at me with concerned eyes. She knew I was lying. Crap.. I thought.

"I'm gonna go get some food." I said and started to walk off.

"Hold on." Montana's voice was behind me. "I'll walk with you." She said.

"Ok." I replied. We walked up to the line in silence but as soon as I picked up my tray, the question I didn't feel like answering left her lips.

"So why are you really?" She askeed.

"Really what?" I asked.

"Jessica Lynne Soles." I looked up at her. She was just a little bit taller than me I had to just barely look up to look her in the eyes. She saw the look in my eyes and her tone softened. "Sorry.." She said.
