Tinashe Kachingwe was going to kill someone. Specifically her childhood and current best friend, Zach LaVine.
"Zachary LaVine if you don't hurry your ass up we're both going to be late for practice and our coaches are going to whoop both of our asses!" Tinashe hissed.
"T chill I'm coming! Yapping at me like you're my mom and stuff..." Zach mumbled while he hurriedly slipped on his shoes.
Tinashe rolled her eyes and tossed Zach his favorite blue gatorade and his keys.
"Chop chop, we don't have time to waste Mr. Hot Shot." She said teasingly.
He hated it when she called him that because despite being a superbly gifted athlete and basketball player, he doesn't like the spotlight all that much. So he shoots her a glare and she playfully sticks her tongue out at him, which he can't help but crack a smile at.
The two get into Zach's Land Rover and he immediately plugged in his phone, blaring Chief Keef. Tinashe sighed but bit her tongue because he usually lets her have control of the auxiliary cord after he gets his fix from his favorite rapper.
He raps and acts all tough, scrunching up his face hitting the steering wheel on time to the beat. Tinashe laughed until her sides hurt, because "thug" Zach was always a hilarious sight to see. The boy was about as light-skinned as you could get.
I been ballin' so damn hard I swear I think I'm Kobe
Young bull of this rap shit but I think that I'm Kobe
I swear I'm dunking on these hoes on these niggas I'm free throwin'
She eventually joined in on the verses, the two trying to act all thug and making fun of each other in the process.

This had been the routine for these two for the past weeks, considering it was winter break. They would hang out all day and carpool to practice together during the afternoon. The basketball team and the dance team both shared practice in the gym, as it was so large the space could be easily shared. It was currently a Friday afternoon, so the two would be starting the new semester the following Monday.
The two jokingly fight over the auxiliary cord after Kobe by Chief Keef ends, and they finally settle on Miguel. Tinashe sang along softly, staring out the window. Zach would never get tired of the sound of her voice. It sounded like pure honey, and never failed to warm his heart and give him butterflies. He can't help but sneak a glance at her, an appreciative gaze and soft smile settling on his face.
To him, Tinashe had always been the definition of beauty: inside and out. Even when she had thick bushy hair and buck teeth in middle school, Zach had never doubted her beauty. But at 16, she had really grown comfortably into her own skin and body. Her bushy hair now fell into soft chestnut waves, her teeth had been straightened to perfection after two years of braces, and her caramel skin glowed radiantly. She had filled out as well. Even though he was just her best friend, he was still a hormonal teenage boy. How could he have not noticed? Her chest was ample and full, her arms, legs, and butt were perfectly toned through years of dance, and her stomach was flat, as the small definition of her abs peeked through. But his favorite part about her were her deep chocolate eyes and her absolutely adorable dimple. He was constantly poking at her dimple and it never failed to make her laugh harder, making the dimple deeper and more noticeable.
Her soft giggle brought him back to reality.
"Whatcha zoning out about superstar?"
Zach shook her from his thoughts and quickly makes something up.
