Chapter 1: Arriving at Hogwarts

Alexis POV:

I squealed excitedly, a permanent grin stretched across my face as I slammed my trunk closed. I looked over at my sister Ginny who was sat on her bed, which was beside mine, watching me enviously. She doesn't get to go to Hogwarts until next year due to her being a year below. It's Ron and I's first time starting Hogwarts today, us being first years. The twins and Percy were already at Hogwarts, the twins being third year and Percy being fifth.

The Weasley's aren't my biological family, they took me in when I was little, since my parents were murdered. However, only I was took in by the Weasley's, my older brother, by only a couple of minutes, was sent to live with our aunt and uncle. I'm hoping and praying that'll get chance to meet him today - hopefully we'll be in the same house. Hopefully, he'll come to Hogwarts.

"Promise you'll write?" Ginny begged as we got out the car, making our way into Kings Cross Station. We were running slightly late, seeing as the place was packed with muggles.

"Of course!" I grinned, turning my head to look at her as I pushed my trolley, following my siblings towards the platform. Ginny ran forward and grabbed Molly's hand as Ron slowed down to allow me to catch up and walk beside him.

"Do you think Harry's gonna come to Hogwarts?" Ron asked excitedly, glancing at me.

"I really hope so." I breathed, becoming more nervous by the fact that we were getting closer and closer to the platform; where I'll finally be starting Hogwarts and hopefully be meeting my brother. My brother who doesn't even know I exist. Well the entire wizarding world doesn't know I still exist, they all think I died along with my parents, so that's another thing to add to my list of 'reasons to be nervous', since today, during the sorting, I'll basically be outing my existence.

"Come on!" Molly called, looking back at me and Ron as we dragged behind. "Platform 9 3/4 this way!"

No matter how much of a mother figure she's been to me, she's not my mum. So I just can't call her mum, it doesn't feel right. I haven't called her 'mum' since I was 5.

"We know, we know!" I called, rolling my eyes, making Ron snigger. He, more than anyone, knows that I hate to be told what I already know, it really annoys me.

Once me and Ron had finally caught up, Percy and the twins had already disappeared onto the platform. Just as I was getting ready to run at the wall, I heard a small voice of a boy call out, "excuse me?"

Ron, Ginny, Molly and I turned around to see a young boy, with scruffy looking clothes and messy black hair walking towards us, somewhat nervously. His round, broken glasses were sliding down his nose.

"C-could you tell me how to..." He motioned to the brick wall, indicating that he had no clue what just happened.

"How to get on to the platform?" Molly asked, chuckling at the boy's nervousness. The boy nodded. "Oh not to worry dear, it's Ron and Alexis' first year as well." She motioned over to Ron and I, where we stood smiling bashfully. The boy turned to look at us, smiling nervously. "Now, all you've got to do is walk straight at the wall between platforms 9 and 10. Best do it at a bit of a run if you're nervous."

"Good luck!" Ginny blushed, smiling brightly at the boy. Ron and I shared a look and giggled. Ginny's got a crush. We all watched as the boy ran through the wall, us following shortly after.

"Now, I expect letter's home often, you two!" Molly demanded, before going over and scolding the twins for taunting Ginny, threatening to send a enchanted toilet home.

"C'mon." Ron grinned, grabbing my arm and yanking me on the train. "Want to sit together?"

"Sure, but first I want to get a drink from the counter." I pulled a sickle out of my pocket, "where'd George say it was?"
