Chapter 3

Erin yawned as she woke up and shook the hay from his ear. "EEEERRRRIIIINNNN!" Chimchar yelled from outside. The Bubble Frog giggled as she hopped outside to be met with the sight of her two friends. "Morning, Erin!" Treecko greeted cheerfully. The Bubble Frog smiled, "Morning!" she greeted. "Gooooood morning, Erin! ready to go?" Chimchar asked.

"Ditto," Treecko agreed. "Ditto? Where?" Chimchar asked as he looked around for the pink Pokémon. Treeko giggled, "Not the Pokemon, stupid. I was agreeing with you by saying ditto," she explained. "Why would someone make a phase a Pokemon's name!? That's stupid! DItto, Ditto. What? Oh, sorry, Ditto. Ditto, Ditto! What? Oh! Sorry, I did it again!" Chimchar yelled.

Treecko and Erin sweat dropped. "Umm...can I tell you two something?" the Froakie asked. "Please do," Treecko said as she stared at her brother. "I haven't been here for too long, but I've grown quite fond of Serene Village very much," Erin confessed. Both siblings looked at the Froakie and smiled. "That's great, Erin," Treecko said happily. "Yeah! It's hard not to grow attached to this village," Chimchar said.

Erin smiled, "Thanks, you guys!" he exclaimed. The two siblings grinned as they reached the school entrance. "Good morning, you three!" Ambipom greeted cheerfully. "Morning, sir. What are we doing today?" Erin asked. "Well, you guys are going into the School Forest," Ambipom said. "Oh my gosh! You better not be kidding me! If you're kidding, I might just cry!" Chimchar cried excited.

Ambipom chuckled, "Don't you worry, Chimchar. You'll be able to go in at the end of the day," she said. "OH MY GOSH! THANK YOU!" Chimchar yelled. Treecko laughed, "Okay let's get going before you faint again," she said as she ushered her brother away. Erin laughed, "Good idea, let's get going before Chimchar decides to faint again," she agreed as she followed the two inside.

"Hey! That was only one time!" Chimchar yelled. "Correction. You have fainted twenty times from over excitement," Abra's voice said inside their heads. "No it wasn't, Abra!" Chimchar yelled as he looked over at his classmate. "Yes it was. I've been keeping count," Abra's voice said. Treecko laughed, "He's got you there, Chimchar. you know what we all say," she said as she nudged her brother.

"Abra sees all, hears all, and knows all," all the students, minus Erin, said at once. Chimchar shivered, "Yeah, thanks for reminding me," he muttered. Everyone laughed as the bell rung, and class begun.

~Timeskip~

"OK, kids, listen up!" Scoutland barked. It was the last period before the end of school, and the class was standing outside of the entrance of the School Forest. "We'll be seeing how well you operate as a team. I've already divided you up in teams. First team! Cacnea, Spinarak, and Chimchar. Second team! Erin, Treecko, and Larvitar. Third team! Abra and Pachirisu," Stoutland said. 

Treecko perked up a little. "It looks like we're on the same team," she said. "Yeah, but Chimchar's with Cacnea and Spinarak," Erin said. "Yeah, sadly, but at least we got Larvitar. A bit on the shy side, but he's a nice and reliable Pokemon," Treecko said with a shrug. "No! I'm leading!" Chimchar's voice yelled. Erin and Treecko looked toward the Chimp Pokemon's voice and sweat dropped at the sight that they saw. Cacnea and Chimchar were glaring at each other. Erin and Treecko could practically see the sparks coming off of them.

"Oh dear, I don't think this expedition is going to go too well," Treecko said nervously. "I predict they will get fourteen percent of the dungeon before one of them faints," Abra's voice said as he floated over towards the two with Larvitar and Pachirisu on his tail. Treecko sighed, "I wouldn't be surprised," she said as she looked at the Psi Pokemon.

Erin laughed nervously, "Well, anyways, you ready for this, Larvitar?" she asked as she looked at the Rock Skin Pokemon. Larvitar nodded shyly, "Ah...umm...let's get along together," he said with a soft bow. Treecko smiled softly, "We'll be fine, Larvitar," she reassured. "Oi! Kids! come over here and get your item box," Stoutland barked.
