I was in my hotel room unpacking some of my stuff. Alfie was downstairs in the lobby getting Marcus. Tonight there was going to be a huge Youtube party that Louise, Joe, Marcus, Alfie and I were all going to go to. I could hardly wait. I would get to spend time with my two best friends, my brother, and Alfie.
There really isn't one word that can describe what Alfie is to me right now. He is more than a best friend, closer to the end of brother. But I love him. I love him so much, more than words could ever describe. Unfortunately, he had friend-zoned me, and I knew he would never love me back.
I didn't really need to unpack anything, we were only going to be staying in the hotel for one night but I needed to busy myself with something. I always had to be doing something with my hands or I got so bored.
I left most of my clothes in the suitcase but I hung up the dress I was going to wear that night. Alfie had picked it out, it was a simple black dress with a collar but it was pretty. I carried all of my toiletries and put them in the bathroom, and got all my makeup out and set it down on the desk.
I was just about to get my laptop out and set it up when there was a knock at the door. My stomach did a little flip and I felt all of the butterflies flitting about inside. Ever since I had met Alfie I had known that I had loved him, but recently even looking at him had made me giddy.
I was falling head over heels in love. With my best friend.
I walked over to the door and opened. I was greeted by Marcus, "Hellllloooo!" he said tilting his head to the side.
"Hello! Wait, wait, I need to pull out my vlogging camera!" I said reaching into my bag and grabbing it. I clicked it on and pointed it at Marcus.
"Hello, Zoella zero point," he said as he flopped down on what was going to be Louise's bed.
"Zero point?" Alfie said with a laugh. We all burst into laughter.

We had gone and picked up Joe from Covent Garden Station and met up with Louise. After that we'd spent a bit of time at Gleam Offices and then gone out for some food. Louise and I were now getting ready in our hotel room.
I was sitting at the desk with a lot of makeup sprawled around me. I really wanted everything to be perfect tonight. My makeup, my hair, my dress. It all needed to be perfect.
Louise had already finished her makeup and was sitting on her bed talking on the phone to Matt. I smiled whilst listening to their conversation. I was always really happy for Louise, glad she had married her best friend.
I looke in the mirror, concentration creasing my brow as I flicked out my liquid eyeliner. I smiled and relaxed when it turned out perfectly. I brushed my entire face with powder and stood up. Louise had hung up with Matt and was grabbing her jacket.
"Ready?" she asked me.
"Yep!" I said, excitement coursing through my body. I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my clutch and my coat. We walked out of the room and then took the stairs to the boy's room.
I knocked on the door waiting for someone to answer. I heard Marcus swear and then a bunch of moving around. Joe answered with nothing but a towel around his waist. "Are you guys ready? We have to leave in like ten minutes," I said with worry. I hated being late.
"We're coming in!" Louise shouted out, walking past me and Joe into the room. I followed her tentatively. The room was littered with shirts and socks, jackets and trash. They'd only been in the room for about an hour. How did it already look like this?
Marcus was sitting on the couch in the corner of the room, fully clothed and ready to go. "At least one person's ready," I said, smiling at him.
"Oi, that hurts Zoe, that hurts," Alfie said. He was standing in front of the mirror, shirtless. Yes, I repeat shirtless. Of course I had seen Alfie shirtless before, countless times actually, but I don't know this time was different. The butterflies were returning.
That reminded me of Louise's presence. She was standing beside me smiling in my direction. She was the only person who knew that I liked Alfie. I hadn't even told Joe.
"Just speaking the truth!" I said lightly, plopping myself down on Alfie's bed. "Did you guys have a party in here or something? It's a mess," I said taking in the full clutter of the room again.
"No one ever said guys were neat Zo," Joe said walking out of the bathroom, this time fully clothed. I chuckled at his response, I guess that was true.
Everyone was ready now except for Alfie, he was doing up the buttons on his shirt, very slowly. As if he was mocking me. In fact I think he was purposely doing it to annoy me.
"Alfie! Hurry up, we have to go!" I shouted at him.
"Ready," he said as he did up the last button. Everyone grabbed their jacket and we headed down to the lobby and then the pary. I was so excited!
