3 years later.

Things went exactly like how I plan. The boys still doing their works -pleasing people around the world with their beautiful faces, angelic voices. I avoid myself with them for good -except for Perrie and Eleanor, they both always keep my phone busy -messaging and calling me now and then. In this three years, they still don't know where am I today. Perrie and Eleanor both trying their best to persuade me to come back or at least tell them where am I and they even promise that they won't tell anyone including my dad but for sure I'm not going to fall for it.

Speaking of my dad, I heard he's having a mental breakdown once Luke explained everything that happened between us. He even blame himself for everything. I don't even know why he blame himself even though I know exactly why. But things with dad were going okay after a year. That old man only need a year to settle down and let everything sink in.

Thanks God.

"Are you coming home this summer?" Josiah asked.

Josiah were one of my dorm mates here in California. He have this beautiful fake but original purple with a hint of burgundy eyes -you do the math, a very sharp jawline that could chop a lettuce, a nice caramel colored skin and a very muscular body. And he's from Australia. The first time I met him, I was so happy that I broke up with Harry and then I learn that Josiah are bisexual.

IT IS A MAJOR TURN OFF, GIRLS!

"I don't know, Josh. Maybe not." I shrugged.

He rolled his eyes in replied. "It has been three years. You can't just avoid them like a plague. They are your family, girl. The last time I check, your dad came infront of our door. Begging you to come home. Could you please be a Santa and make that old man's wish come true?"

It's true. Dad came here last Chrismast. I should have know better. Dad and Luke's mom are both detective. They could easily track me down before I could even close me eyes to sleep myself off. After dad came that Chrismast morning, I made him promise not to tell anyone about me being here, in return, he made me promise to come home this summer.

"I'll see."

"Stop wasting your saliva talking to her about it, Josiah. She won't listen." Mark came out from his room, butting in our conversation.

I groaned in dismayed, "Why'd everyone have to gang up against me when it comes about this?"

Mark raised his eyebrow, challenging me to say any words.

Mark were my other dorm mates alongside with Josiah. Mark have a twin who also sharing in the same dorm with us and his name was Ivan. The first time I met these two gentlemen I was in horror. I thought my eyes were playing tricks with me. Both of them wearing the same black shirts and jeans, saying hi at me before pulling me into a hug. Imagine my horror when they started talking the same thing as in, 'Welcome to our dorm. I bet you're new here. Come in and let's meet the other.'

Mark are more into the dark side while Ivan are more into Barbie side. Not that I'm saying he's a softie. But....you've to meet him yourself so you'll know how to put it.

"Fine. Let me think about it." I gave up.

I swear, my dorm mates were ganging up with my family and the boys to force me to come home. There's a night, last few months, they buckled me in a car while I was sleeping and drove all the way from our college to airport. They even bought the ticket to New York. I mean, can't you see their effort to get rid of me?! Luckily, Elle, my other dorm mate, made a noise as in crying her eyes out saying her goodbye to me.

"I swear if you still not going home, I'll drug you to sleep and send you to New York via FedEx." Josiah threatened me.

I raised my eyebrows in horror before bursting into a fit of laughter.

"Try me." He smirked.

I sighed in defeated. "Can someone, at least one person, put yourself in my shoes and understand my situation? After you know the pain I'm feeling, then sure, go head and voice out your thoughts."

"Drama queen."

Mark let out a whistle before staring at me intensely. "From what I knew, you are the one who acting childish. I'm sorry to say, my dear. But you're being a bitch over a small matter. Yes, your step brother are in love with you. Or should I say, were in love with you. I bet he's crying his eyes out because of missing you right now. Missing his step sister. It has been three years. No one will remember that Luke were in love with you. No one will give a fuck about why'd you ran away and I'm sure as hell they are missing you for who you really are. They miss Alexis. No one care about Harry Styles ex girlfriend. No one care about Luke's step sister. No one care about the crisis."

"Can't you see their effort to make you come back? Do you think running away is the best solution? You are cutting the ties between your families. They are your family, Alexis. Drop the tough act right now and admit it. You miss them." Mark ended his mind blowing speech.

I was speechless.

So did Josiah.

"Wow. That's quite a speech." Elle interrupted. Her eyes were wide as in she can't believe what she just heard.

Mark was being wise.

That's usual sight but also unusual.

"I'm sorry, but I hate seeing a family breaking apart." Mark shrugged.

"That's true, babe. I obviously can see the pain and disappointment in your dad's eyes when he came here back then. He's hurting because of missing you. You're his daughter for crying out loud. Yes, he has married. Yes, he has a step son. But you are still his daughter. The diamond that his wife left for him. But you snatch away his wealth by running away. Because of stupid boys' problems, you left him behind." Elle voice out her thought, using my dad as a bet for me to go back to New York.

I tell you what, she almost nail it.

"He forgot my mom's remembering date." I muttered under my breath.

"I forgot about my mom's birthday. For three years straight and she's cool about it as long as she have me." Josiah chirped.

"What I'm trying to say is, the date doesn't matter. The day doesn't matter. As long as you are there with people you love. We are humans, Alexis. You can't expect someone to remember every single fucking thing in their short memory. Plus, your dad is a detective. He got a lot things running in his head. I can guarantee he have a good reason for forgetting about that." He added.

I glanced at the trio before sighing. Elle pulled me into a hug, "We want the best for you, babe."

I want the best for myself too.
