(6) WHAT?

- Kris' POV –

I jumped on my bed. Napagod talaga ako ngayon.

And to think that basketbell wasn't the only thing occupying my mind right now.

We just got home from a dinner at a restaurant. Kadadating lang kasi ni Mommy kanina galing sa States.

A lot of things happened today.

I sighed as I remembered the events from earlier.

She's in big trouble.

- FLASHBACK –

"WHAT?!?" all three of us shouted in unison.

Tama ba yun ang narinig ko? Bankrupt?

Mom wore a frown and nodded.

"Then that would mean...." I turned to Bunso. Mukhang nagulat din siya. Mag bestfriends sila kaya it was predictable. "Pero teka Mom. Paano to nangyari?"

"Eversince Hankyung and Victoria died, the company has already been going down hill," sagot nito.

Hankyung? Victoria? Pangalang yun ng parents ni Lay diba?

"Pero paano naman yun nangyari?" tanong ng kakambal ko.

"Oo nga naman Mom. Based sa recent index ranking, nagpapangalawa ang Zhang Group of Companies sa Hwang Incorporated. Tas there was never even an obvious sign of bankruptcy from them. Hindi naman pwede na basta-basta nalang to mangyayari." Paliwanag ko.

It was true. I knew a thing or two about business kahit papanu. It's way to impossible na basta na lang malulugi ang kompanya nila. Malaki ang sakop ng Zhang Group of Companies since Airline based ito. It can't just sink this fast.

"Nagulat lang din ako anak when I was informed. Pero mas ikinagulat ko ang nalaman ko ng nasa States kami ng Daddy niyo."

"Po?" nalilito kong tanong. I feel something off. Di na ata to tama.

Chanyeol: Ano po yun?

She breathe in heavily before proceeding. "Si Tita Victoria niyo. Siya ang may kakagawan kung bakit nangyari ang lahat ng to sa kompanya nila at kay XingXing."

"Oh my.."

"Anong sabi niyo Mommy?!" gulat na tanong ni Bunso.

I can't believe my ears. Si Tita Victoria mismo? Wait. Is this sabotage? Di ko panipaniwala.

Umiling siya bago nagpatuloy magpaliwanag sa mga pangyayari. "Bago sila namatay ni Hankyung on that plane crash 5 years ago. She left me something. Natanggap ko ito ng nasa states kami. It was a letter dated almost 5 years ago."

We all listened intentively. Mas lalong nagiging interasado ang sitwasyon. Well, in a way I guess.

"Victoria made a contract. She tricked all of their company's invertors to sign it for her own convenience. Nakasaad dun na kung meron mang mangyari sa kanila ng asawa niya, pagkalipas ng 5 taon, mapipilitan ang lahat ng tao na nagpapasok ng pera sa kompanya nila na bawiin yun. It's not voluntary or something. It's forced. Sa ayaw o gusto man ng mga investors." Patuloy niya.

"So their 5th death anniversary in 3 months time will be the start of their company's down fall. And by the end of the year, Zhang Group of Companies will be closed down."

"For how long?"

"For good." Sagot niya.
