I stood there, staring blindly at the wall of my temporary bunk. Still breathing heavy. In front of me was the destroyed mess of everything in my bunk that wasn't bolted down, plus a few things that used to be. I can't recall ever being so infuriated by anything before, I'm a top squad leader in the Empire! How could two stupid little droids be getting the better of me? My anger overflowed again and I flung a hunk of something already broken, (the chair maybe?) against a wall, its definitely broken now if it wasn't before.

There was a new sound in the room, instantly I recognized it as the pinging of my comm unit, but where was my helmet? My head spun around in a desperate search for it, initially seeing nothing before remembering that I had secured it from my wrath in the closet. I quickly pulled it out and dropped it on my head, I can adjust it later.

"Report to checkpoint Delta for patrol duty" was all that came through. Damn, I was hoping we'd found them.

I quickly finished attaching my helmet and then hurried out the door. The drop ship's Master at Arms issued me a blaster and then I exited the temporary home into the sandy streets of Mos Eisley.

Hi there readers, I hope you've liked this shorter addition to the 'Trooper' story. I've been working hard to get ahead of myself on the writing side so that I can hopefully release on a more regular schedule.  Though out of curiosity, do you tend to prefer shorter or longer parts for these stories?

I just wanted to take a moment to say 'thank you' to everybody who has read, voted for, commented on, or shared my story via adding to your reading lists! "Trooper" is now my most-read story on Wattpad and getting very close to 600 reads! It's the great feedback from all of you that inspires me to continue with the story even when I'm feeling stuck on where to go next.

Speaking of 'where to go next', I'm taking suggestions and requests! So if there's a part of the Star Wars storyline that you'd be interested in seeing my take on from this story's perspective, please let me know in the comments. In fact, the next part that I'm going to publish is based on a suggestion from a reader, but I won't spoil who's suggestion it was now, I'll leave that for when I publish it, soon.

Anyway, Thanks again! and stay tuned for more 'Trooper' in the near future.
