You can get loads of ideas for RAOKs online and on YouTube, but here are my best picks, with a few of my original ideas.
1. Leave notes- write out some nice notes saying things like 'have a nice day' or 'you look great today'. Put them in books, at work/school or wherever you know people will eventually find them. You can add 'pass it on' to the note, to make sure the kindness keeps on going.
2. Paying- not a lot of people can afford this, but if you can, then do! Wait in a queue and pay for the person behind you, if you see somebody wants something in a shop and doesn't have the money, offer to pay. Remember to be careful about it, as sometimes people are sensitive with this kind of thing.
3. Smile- a simple smile, wave or nod of the head can really brighten somebody's day. Plus it's free and very easy.
4. Flowers- give flowers to a random stranger, just because! People tend to mistake this kind of kindness for flirting, but it's always nice to receive something thoughtful.
5. Vending machine- tape some change to a vending machine so somebody can get themselves a drink or snack, you can leave a note with it too.
6. Letter- if you have a little bit more time to spend, write a letter telling somebody positive things and leave it on a park bench. You could even leave tips on getting around or eating in that area.
7. Baking- bake some cookies or brownies and give them to neighbours or passing people in the street. Best served with a compliment :)
8. Chores- offer an elderly relative or neighbour to do their chores, or take them shopping, this can be a huge help for somebody who needs it. You could also offer to wash cars in the local area, for free.
9. Ice- if it's icy where you live, spread salt on the paths and roads to stop people from slipping.
10. Volunteer- volunteers are always appreciated almost everywhere, so get online to look for places nearby.
That's all for now, but please comment your suggestions for later edits. Have a nice day!
