Alex's POV:

I felt a shiver down my spine as we walked out the door of McDonald's. It was pretty cold, 48 degrees. The moon was shining bright and the stars were all dancing in the sky. This takes me back to the night of the phone call.

"Right here" called Andy as he unlocked his car. It was a black BMW and that's all I can provide with the amount of knowledge I have on automobiles, note my sarcasm please. He held the door open for me, and I sat down in pleasure; his car was warm and cozy and clean, surprisingly. Then he sat himself down and started the engine.

"So, Andy, what brings you to McDonalds at this hour?" I ask with a small giggle in my tone.

He looked at me and smiled when he jokingly said, "I can ask you the same question. But I'm here because I had a craving for fries, but not just any fries, their fries."

I laughed.

"Well, they are the best!" I exclaimed.

He finally took the car out of "parking" and started to drive towards the highway.

"So umm. I'm here because the bus fails to take me all the way to my friend Kylie's house. The McDonald's is close to her place so she was supposed to pick me up from there, but she did not and then I saw the news..." I said trailing off into the clouds.

"Hmm. Do you know her address by heart? I can take you to her house, I mean I am a stranger and you're probably scared shitless" he offered.

"No thanks, for some odd reason, I trust you. My life's already fucked up, so if you decide to harm me in any way then I guess that's how life works" I explained.

He then pulled over and stopped the car.

"Andy, what are you doing? You can't just stop here! Plus, there's a forest and there's wild animals... are you insane?" I yelled.

"I'm not denying that I'm insane but, how can you have such low self esteem? You don't even care if or when you'll die and if it's today or in 20 years? That isn't good Alex, you shouldn't treat yourself like that!" he said almost yelling.

I just stared at him with a blank face.

"I knew this was a bad idea..." I said as I took off my seatbelt in motion to get out the car.

"Alex, wait! Ugh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you, I'm just worried" he said.

"It's alright" I muttered.

After a minute of staring at each other, he turned on the car and continued driving.

7 minutes later

He stops at this apartment building. It was huge and very expensive looking and near an arena too.

We walked into the building and went up the elevator until we hit the 12th floor.

We roamed the halls until we found room #1226. He fiddled in his pile of keys to find the one to his house. Finally, he opened the door to reveal a Music Lover's dream home.

There were red brick walls, black wood floors, a white couch, silver (mirrored) coffee table and guitars, ukuleles, and basses hung up on the walls along with the best vinyls known to man. He even had a piano in his living room!

"So umm... this is it, it's not much" he said.

My jaw dropped.

"Are you serious?! This is yours?! Wow." I yelled.

He laughed and nodded.

"I'm a writer."

"What" I asked.

"I write, I love to write, I like reading books too. Poems, songs, short stories, anything that involves my imagination and feelings onto a word document, it's my passion."

I smiled. That's really adorable.

"What is?" he asked.

"What?" I asked yet again.

"Damn, did I say that out loud...?" I continued.

He laughed and thanked me.

"Well you'd expect a guy you meet at 11pm at McDonald's that offers you a ride and takes you to his place to be a selfish asshole but... you're different, I'm shocked."

He blushed and made the cutest smile.

"T-thanks Alex... that's very kind of you."

He continued to smile and blush deep red.

"Well uh, you can take my bed, I'll sleep on the couch tonight" he said.

- "Oh no, you can't possibly do that for me, that's too much!"

He took off the seat cushions off the sofa and pushed the coffee table away and pulled on the mattress.

"Sofa bed!!! I call dibs!" I yelled with glee.

"Really?" he asked in shock.

- "Yeah! I love them, they remind me of those 90's music videos with motel rooms."

"You are so cute..." he blushed again.

"I- uh mean, if that's what you want then fine, suit yourself."

I nodded in agreement and grabbed a spare blanket and pillow from a basket next to the washer and dryer, "is this clean?" I ask.

"Yes, I forgot to fold today so my laundry is a mess" he said.

"Well, I hope you had a good night. I hope you have the sweetest dreams and sleep in peace," he said as he gave me one last look before going to his room.

"Aww, thanks Andy you're really sweet. Goodnight!" I said in a kiddy girly tone.

He smiled with the most tired look on his face and proceeded to his room.

Author's Note:

I have so much to wrap up in two chapters for the finale but I hope you guys like the story so far.

Gif is basically how Andy feels since the minute he met Alex. He's genuinely happy, for once. And I wanted a change in the story, everyone's always so sad, it's horrible. A new positive character is a good fit, in my opinion. It balances the story out. Just like imagine someone saying "Do you like Alex Moretto?" this would be his reaction. Cute ain't it? He's like awkward yet sweet, and that's the kinda personality I'm going for.
