It had been almost a two weeks since the last time you saw Cameron. He had to travel to do a small meet up and attend a meeting. You were invited to come, but there were so many things you had to get done and you didn't want to get in the way.

Luckily Cameron was at the airport and would arrive soon. It was nice to get some stuff done around the house, but you really missed him. You stayed in touch with him, so that gave you some comfort.

He called you every night to tell you what his day was like and asked you how it was going back at home. You guys would snapchat during parts of the day and text when it was convenient. A couple of times he would tweet you and say cute things toward you. You couldn't wait until he could wrap his arms around you when he walked through the door when he got back.

Throughout the day you had to occupy yourself to get your mind off of Cam. You cleaned the house, but it was already clean from all the time you'd had during the last couple of weeks. You tried to get some school work done so you wouldn't have to do it later. Taking a nap didn't seem to work either.

Finally you decided to welcome Cameron home with a special dinner. There was still an hour or two before he would arrive, so you drove to Target to pick up some things.

You got streamers, a welcome home banner, and other festive decorations. For dinner you got ingredients for spaghetti and garlic bread as well as salad greens for some veggies. For the semi- occasion, you grabbed a bottle of sparkling cider and some wine glasses.

When you got home you made the salad and cooked the spaghetti and bread. You set up the table very fancy like and hung up the streamers with the banner. You hung up a couple of extra things and got dressed into something more appropriate.

It was almost time for Cameron to be home. You lit candles and turned some music on. When it was really close to time for Cameron to be home, you served the food and poured the drinks. You sat down and waited.

While waiting, you scrolled through social media and watched some vlogs. Who knows how much time passed. It felt like forever. You tried to contact Cameron, but nothing was delivering. He must have still been in airplane mode.

You were getting un comfortable sitting in the chair, so you went into your room to lay down. You didn't really care about the food, you were just worried about Cameron.

Time passed, and you began to doze off. You thought you heard some movement going on in the other room, but you were so tired you didn't care.

The movement became louder and you got a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach. You didn't know whether you should stay still and quiet, or go out and see what was going on. It didn't sound like someone was walking around anymore.

You decided to go see what was going on. You had your phone gripped in your hand just in case something were to happen. Your heart began to thump to wear you could hear and feel it.

"Hello beautiful," Cameron said with a smile as you walked into the kitchen. He was eating spaghetti and drinking sparkling cider. "Nice set up you got over here," he said pointing to the streamers and food.

"Cameron! You scared me!" You almost fell onto the floor from shock. You almost began crying, but you were happy he was there.

"Aww babe. I'm sorry," Cameron got up and walked over to you. "I love you Y/N," he kissed you on the cheek.

"I love you too," you kissed him back and he wrapped his strong arms around you. You had been waiting to hug him again for so long.

"I missed you so much," he grabbed your upper thighs and you jumped up to wrap your legs around his waist. You stayed that way for a couple minutes.

He put you down and held your hand. He walked you over to the table and pulled the chair out for you. You smiled and took a seat. He grabbed the plates and heated the food up with the microwave. You guys talked and caught up in person. Cameron was just as happy as you were to be with him again.

The rest of the night you cuddled and fell asleep earlier than usual. You missed the embrace of his arms and how protected you felt. It was way better to share the bed with him instead of having it all to yourself.
