Chapter 2-How it All Started

VIctoria's P.O.V

As soon as the tick on the clock striked 8:00 a.m. I slowly pulled the blanket off of my face. I grumbled a couple of words and slowly made my way to the bathroom.

I took a sneaky peak at the disgusting face of mine. I smirked while wiping the drool off of my face.

I took a wash cloth and started to run my face when all of a sudden there was a knock on my door.

"Hello, can I come in Victoria?" My sweet grandma called.

I immediately threw the wash cloth aside the sink and ran to hug her.

"Ooh!! Grandma, going down!" We both fell down onto my bed. Of course I tried to not hurt her since she was very fragile.

"Grandma! I got a A+ all of my test scores!!"

"Really!!" She pulled me in for a tight hug. "Let's celebrate then!"

"Where to?"

"Hmmm.. How about that old sea food bar we would always go to? I heard they got a special sale going on!"

I jumped with joy and danced like a crazy man. "That'd be great grandma!"

She laughed and patted my head. She handed me a really cute red fish lucky charm bag. I admired its color. "Now, go get ready for school. You don't want to be late for school now!"

"Right!" I scurried to the bathroom, quickly washing my face for 5 minutes and changed immediately. I heard a couple of coughs in my bedroom.

I went to check if it was grandma but she seemed fine.

Shrugging my shoulders I continued what I was doing. As soon as I was done getting ready in the morning, I hurriedly sprinted to school.

Jeannie's P.O.V

"La~La~la~la~laah-" my voice cracked. Ugh!

I kicked my school bag and went over to the kitchen counter to look for my medicine.

I took out a bag of whole wheat bread, sliced off a piece or two. Next I flipped the jar of butter open and smoothly placed it on my bread. Munching on it non-stop. Then....I realised I had forgotten about school!

I rushed everything into my mouth and tried to flush it all down with some cold milk.

Rushing for time, I FINALLY made it out the door!

I caught one of my classmate, or also known as "my crush" walking past my house complex. I fled to the other way from him.

We made a bit of eye contact but I tried to look away. Seeing as how he was trying to get my attention, my face gushed red.

Suddenly the public bus came! I hopped on without seeing where I was going. Normally, there would be lesser people, but for some reason bad luck decided to land their gray cloud on me!

I found myself in a sandwich. With the public bus door to my back and Jun Kai in front of me!

He looked at me and placed his hand all the way down...

To my....

Backpack....

"Jeannie! Your backpack is stuck in between the door!"

Covering my face, I could feel my face gushing red. I also noticed that Jun Kai didn't move away from me. So, I decided to stand there. The whole time. With my hands. In front of my face... Yeah...

As time went by, we finally arrived to our destination, school!

The doors were slammed open and yup. Since my backpack was stuck in between the doors and Jun Kai was in front of me.

So....

He fell onto me.
Yup.
I was quite glad at the same time!

"Oops! I'm so sorry Jeannie!! I didn't mean to- wait. Are you-"

I smiled. SMILED! OMG!! Why did I do that in front of him!!!!

"Uhhhh...." I shoved him off of me. "Nothing happened!" I stood up and ran. I ran again! I ran away from Jun Kai! Again!

Victoria's P.O.V

Dropping my things onto the floor, I slugged into my seat for a quick nap.

I felt a light touch on my face and then..

CRASH!

I jumped from my seat. Some people were staring at me as if I was some physco. I noticed that everything in my backpack was dumped out!! I kneeled onto the floor and tried to pick everything up, but that's when I motcied that my lucky bag was gone!

Rage and angry was flooding me! I stood up with hate in my eyes. As I stood I headed over to the small cubbies. I checked every single one of them.

I searched and searched each and every single person's locker until I finally found it. I looked over my shoulder and saw Jeannie at her desk.

I stood up. With my lucky bag in my hand.

"You!" I yelled. And shoved Jeannie. "You stole this didn't you!!"

She was so shocked and trembled as she got up. "I- I don't know what your talking about.."

"Yes you do! Your a theif!"

She looked at me with stern eyes.
"I didn't steal anything. In fact, I don't know what your talking about!"

She didn't look like she wanted to admit it. So I said something  that I regret saying....

"Face it! You stole it because You're poor, and can't afford anything."

Tears formed in her eyes. She was about to run off when she came close to my face.

"Your grandma is sick at home because it's a curse for you being mean!"

I immediately gripped her collar.
"What did you say?"

My fist was so close to her face but something held me back. I remembered that my grandma didn't like it when I caused trouble at school so I dropped my punch.

I threw her on the ground.

"Don't you EVER mention anything about my grandma again. Or I'll cut that very annoying throat of yours!"

Jeannie's P.O.V

I had to face it. I mean, she blamed me for no reason! And the fact that she got mad at me too was a bit over the top. But then again....I can't help it.

We were once....

Friends....
