Dedicated to @LadyOtami for the amazing comments that she left me! She (unintentionally) gave me motivation to write this as I'd been suffering a bit of writer's block. -unedited-

The first time you went on a date (with him)

4th of April, 2014

Dear,

The sky was a light grey, differentiated with a few small white clouds.

I smiled as I tied my hair into a bun and curled away a few pieces of hair to frame my face. I pinned a small pink flower to the bottom of right side head and started working on my make-up. The kitten slept soundly in front of the mess that she'd made out of her feeding bowl. It was the day of my first date.

I'd worn a black floral dress, it had a low back and a boat style neck. The dress flowed down in pleats from my waist to my knees. I wore a pair of brown ballerinas and did a twirl in front of the mirror as I heard my mom gasping and saying that I looked amazing. I thanked her and told her that I'd be back by 22:00, tops.

I headed out the front door. My grandma's garden looked like a safe haven, the recent showers did them good. I took in the beautiful sight in front of me, I had to remind myself to move when I felt my shoulders slumping in mourning.

"So, what's the plan for tonight?" I asked curiously, already intrigued by what you'd planned that night.

"A casual dinner. Did you have high expectations, Ms. Noor?", he teased.

I laughed and said, "Yes, Mister. I'm heavily disappointed in you."

The light was almost gone from your eyes, right there and then. "Really? We could go anywhere you like. Do you want-"

I shut you up as I laced my arm through yours, "No, it's perfect."

You smiled as you opened the door of the beautifully lit restaurant for me. I remember feeling so special and loved that I couldn't stop smiling, days after it was over.

We talked, laughed and bet over the silliest things. It was a great night, indeed. I'd remember this for a long, long time, if not forever.

I thanked you for the lovely time and kissed you on your cheek.

"I have one surprise for you.", you blushed.

"What?" I laughed, "I've still not wrapped my head around the fact that you got me a pet that I'd always wanted, let alone this night."

You only smiled in response as you walked with me, to the ferry wheel.

You grabbed my hand, it felt like a surreal feeling. A completely foreign feeling, one in which I had everything to lose, and only memories to gain.
