*Rusty*
It all happened so fast. One moment I'm on the whale watching boat my Mum forced me to go on with her and next I'm alone on a beach without another soul in sight. The wind blew my dirty blonde hair into my face with each step I took towards the dense green forest. With night approaching fast I decided to put survival skills they use in movies to the test and collect firewood. Every stick I attempted to collect felt damp, like a layer of water was running over it constantly. It was useless.

I made my way back to the beach, my red converse slowly turning the weird mix of brown and green from the damp earth below them. I was struggling to stay calm as hours past and I hadn't seen another person. I hadn't seen my Mum. The thought brought tears to my eyes but now was no time to cry. I wiped my eyes that reflected the light blue of the sky in them and sat in the sand at the edge of the forest. I stared at the sea for god knows how long before I heard a frantic voice travel through the wind. I leapt up from my spot on the ground, sand flicking up around my ankles in a dark cloud before settling, down the beach a black haired girl was frantically giving another girl CPR. She was repeating over and over, "Please wake up. I can't stand being alone anymore." I rushed over to her and began to give the body mouth to mouth voicing the same words in my mind. As I came up for air I noticed the hands had stopped pumping the girls chest. I glanced up at her face. It was pale and stained with tears. Her earthly green eyes stared into mine as if I was a ghost or figment of her imagination.
"If you want her to live then keep pumping her chest," I said in a calm yet authoritative tone. She snapped out of her frozen daze and returned to what she was doing previously. My hopes for the girls survival were becoming slim and I was about to give up when her body lurched forward before rolling on her side and emptying her body of sea water. She looked up her Bambi eyes meeting mine before looking at the earthly green eyes beside me. Her bottom lip quivered as she used her hands to push herself away from us.
"We won't hurt you," I heard the green eyed girl say in a soft voice that came out just above a whisper, as if speaking a normal volume would scare her.
"W where am I?" She asked in a low shaky voice. Her eyes searching for answers. The green eyed girl looked at me as if I'd know but I shook my head no before standing up and backing away slightly to give the almost dead girl more space.
"Well since none of us know we must all be from the same place," green eyes said standing up, "I'm Lauren and I was on a whale watching boat that must have sunk," Lauren said confidently. The fragile girl I saw before, begging to not be alone, was a completely different girl to the one standing before me now.
"Rusty," I said putting a hand out for the brown eyed girl still laying in the sand.
"Camila," she said as she took my hand.

I opened my mouth to ask her if she was feeling ok but didn't get the chance to speak when I heard a scream of pain through forest. The sun was half set and I figured that was enough light to go and investigate the source of the noise. I took off towards the forest, my feet were blistering from the bad choice in shoes and my flannel shirt was flapping in the wind as I ran further and further into the green until I tripped over something. I turned and found a lone shoe next to a tree where a girl was snuggled into the roots that jutted out of the ground. Her shirt was ripped and bloody, the crimson ran down her tan back in streaks.
"Hello," I spoke softly not knowing how to address her. Her head shot up and frightened brown eyes met my unemotional blue.
"Are you the one who set up those stupid things?" She asked frightened. I looked at her confused as Lauren and Camila caught up and gasped at the sight of the girl. I turned to see a set of traps the girl must have set off. Blades hung from the trees on vines and the ground had what looked like trip wires on them.
"No, I don't know what those are doing here," I said taking off my flannel and leaving me in a black singlet. I slowly placed it over the girls shoulders. "Is it ok if I lift you and carry you to the beach?" I asked softly. I saw hesitation in her eyes before she nodded. I lifted her into my arms as she wrapped her arms around my neck. She hissed at her cuts being touched and I apologized for the uncomfortable pressure as we made our way back to the beach.
"What's your name?" I asked looking down at her in my arms.
"Dinah Jane," she said in a weak voice as she looked to be loosing consciousness from being in to much pain.
"I'm Rusty, the green eyed girls Lauren and the brown eyed ones Camila," I replied as we reached the beach.

I placed her belly down so her back didn't get sandy.
"Do you mind?" I asked grabbing the flannel so I could remove it. She shook her head and I took it off before removing what was left of her shirt to leave her in her bra. I stood and ripped around the bottom of my singlet before walking to the water and dipping it in the salt water. I walked back and noticed the look of alarm in Dinah's eyes as she saw the singlet.
"Lauren can you hold her hand," I stated rather then asked as a kneeled beside Dinah. Lauren grabbed her hand and I smiled sympathetically at Dinah. "This might sting a bit but we have to clean them," I said and she sighed. I placed the flannel under her head so she could rest on it and not breath in sand before dabbing at her cuts. The first few times she screamed in pain but after a while she just had silent tears of pain running down her face. I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was as I cleaned her back. Even when I had finished cleaning the cuts I couldn't hold back from running my fingers along the dip where her spine was in soothing strokes until she fell asleep. I reached down and wiped the tears from her eyes before laying beside her and drifting off into my own sleep.

So this is a story I've been working on for a while now and I've already got majority of it written up so posting for this story shouldn't be an issue. If you're confused about who the hell Rusty is she is based off of me. I changed the name but the personality, looks and style of her is very me. I thought it would be fun to write myself into a story and I'm sorry if you don't like it but yeah. The girls will have chapters in their point of views occasionally but they'll be shorter then Rusty's ones most of the time. I hope you enjoy this story because I've worked hard on it. I feel like lately my writing hasn't been up to scratch as I had a lot going on in my personal life but I'm back and ready to wow you with a new, planned, almost fully written story. Enjoy and don't forget to tell me your thoughts :) updates every Australian sunday.

(Also sorry about all the Aussie words like Mum, colour, etc. Writing it in the American way is so confusing for me and I always forget. Can't help being Australian :P )
