Young Severus x reader

"Come on (Y/N), just one date?" James Potter asked, chasing you through the great hall and out the doors.

"I SAID BUZZ OFF, POTTER!" You yelled. You picked up your pace, trying desperately to get away from him.

He was always rude to you. Calling you names, humiliating you, looking up your skirt. And to think he has the audacity to ask you on a date? The nerve on that boy is quite astounding.

Turning a sharp corner, still hearing his footsteps behind you. You fling open the door to the room of requirement and slam the door once safely inside.

You look at your surroundings. Books line every wall, and scattered prices of parchment litter the floor. You were about to bend down to pick the up, when a hand snatched them from your grasp. You yelped and jumped backwards.
In front of you, was your best friend, Severus Snape. Despite being in Hufflepuff, and him in Slytherin, the two of you had managed to maintain a friendship throughout the years.

"Sorry about that, (Y/N)." Severus said.

"It's no problem. Watcha doin'?" You asked, bending over to look at his papers. He grinned from ear to ear and got down on all fours with you, rummaging through papers. He pulled a few out of the pile.

"These are spells. I've been working on them for quite some time." He says quietly, almost afraid that someone will hear him.

"Spells? You must be quite the advanced wizard!"

"No, I'm not THAT good." Severus says modestly.

"Yes you are!" You argued back.

Severus sighed in defeat and sat down.
You plopped yourself right by his side, leaning your head on his shoulder. You felt Severus's muscles tense up, but he quickly relaxed.

"(Y/N)?"

"Mhmm?" You looked up at him.

"Wou-would y-you l-l-like, I mean, you don't h-have to if y-you don't wa-want to, maybe go-"

"Yes." You cut him off.

"Oh thats alright. Wait what?" He jumped up.
You giggled at him a little.

"You're cute when you get embarrassed. Yes. I would like to go to on a date with you."

"R-really?" He asked. "Are you sure you aren't playing a joke? DID POTTER TELL YOU TO DO THIS?" He asked, almost yelling.
Backing off slightly, you stared at him in the eyes.

"Severus, I am dead serious. You understand how I feel about Potter." You spoke calmly in attempts to calm him.
Severus took a deep breath.

"Well, (Y/N), it should d no surprise to you when I do this." He spoke, hesitantly stepping forward.

"Wait, wha-"

You were cut off as Severus gently placed his lips on yours. The kiss was sweet and mildly awkward, but then again, it was your first kiss.

Before you knew it, you had begun to kiss back. Severus smiled into the kiss, causing you both to giggle.
The two of you pulled away in desperate need of air. You places your right hand on his cheek, and he gently stroked your hair. Both of your foreheads touched gently, your breath mixing.

After a moment of silence, you spoke up.

"I guess I have to tell Potter that I have a date, now!" You grinned.
Severus burst out laughing.

"Can't wait to see the look on his face when he finds out!" The two of you giggled for a bit.
When you finally calmed down, you looked into Severus's eyes.

"I love you, Severus."

"I love you more, (Y/N)."

I am so so so so so so sorry for that awful ending. I tried, really. I have an audition for a special arts high school coming up. I'm going for visual art and its SUPER demanding. I have had to focus a lot on drawing and spend less time updating. This week and next week are my audition dates and I SERIOUSLY need to focus.
