You sat on the couch, lying face down. All you wanted to do was sleep. To make things worse, your kids decided tags now was an appropriate time to go sprinting around the house.

"Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!" Your son, (s/n, son's name) called.

You groaned, not wanting to get up. You had had such a long day and your own son couldn't respect that.

"What?" You asked, trying not to seem to angry.

"Come play with (D/N, daughter's name) and I!" (S/N) squealed.

"I suppose it wouldn't hurt..." You trailed off.

"That's the spirit, (Y/N)!"
You turned around. Sure enough, there was your wonderful husband, Fred. He gave young a big toothy grin before picking up (S/N) and spinning him around. He giggled as Fred sat him down.

"What do you say we take the kids out for some fresh air?" Fred asked you.

"Sounds like a plan you sighed.

*timeskip to later at the park*

You watched as (S/N) and (D/N) bounced around on the play structure.

"This is nice." You smile, resting your head on Fred's shoulder. His hand drifted down and took hold of yours, rubbing small circles on your palm.

"It really is..." He sighed.

"You know what, (Y/N)?" Fred looked down at you.

"What?"

"I miss this. Just the little things. Holding your hand, spending quiet time with you. I suppose with the kids and all, time to ourselves has become scarce." He looked at you.

You moved your eyes to his.

"Then lets make this moment last for as long as possible!" You giggle.
Fred puts his thumb underneath your chin and lifts tilts your head upwards. He slowly brought his face to yours. Your lips met, and you forgot jut how special it could feel to kiss Fred.

Your little moment of paradise was ruined by a little scream.

"EWW! MOMMY AND DADDY ARE KISSING!"
Your son squealed and stuck out his tongue, pretending to gag.
Fred chuckled and took you hand. "Come on, we'd best get going." He grinned. You took your two children's hands and walked home, laughing all the while.

Jeez, that was short. I'm super sorry for such a major delay and how this was probably underwhelming, but I am back now. My audition for my arts high school went pretty great, even though I am still stressed out about it.

I really needed the time off from writing to focus on getting my art done. Thank you all for understanding.

I froze my butt off today performing with the band at this Chinese Lunar New Year celebration-thing. I didn't really feel like writing this, but I knew it had to be done!
