I ran downstairs to the kitchen where my dad was sitting at the table eating his half of the food delivery while my half was set up on the counter. "Morning buddy." He greeted me with a smile. "What did they deliver for breakfast today?" I asked already knowing its probably just cereal. "Surprisingly they gave you pancakes and me cereal." He replied with mock sadness in his voice.

I ripped open the package and saw the beautiful bacon and pancakes. I couldn't believe my eyes they never give us meat to eat. Let me explain the whole food package delivery system to you guys.

In the past couple of years ago the united States decided to regulate the food supply because the population on Earth was getting too large. Now everyone gets food packaged away in containers sent to them so no one will eat to much and destroy the food supply of that certain food. Today I got lucky because they had some meat and pancakes left over and they gave it to me.

I quickly ate my breakfast and while I finished it the doorbell rang. "I got it." My dad said before I could get up to get it. He went down the hall and let whoever it was in. As he came back to the kitchen Bridget came in after him smiling like it was Christmas morning. Bridget is my dad's girlfriend, she's nice and all don't get me wrong its just she tries to act like my mom but she isn't. Hell I never knew my mom she left my dad with me and his broken heart after I was out of the hospital. What a mom huh?

My dad never talks about her much and when he does he acts like it was a mistake to have been with her. I would think so too if I loved someone and they left me with a kid and a broken heart. "Hello Bridget, how are you?" I asked trying to be nice. "I've been great. How about you?" She replied still wearing that stupid smile. "I'm okay." Getting my shoes on I said my goodbyes and left my house. Not knowing it would be the last time I saw the house and my dad for a very long time.
