I woke up to the sound of my stupid alarm clock! I slammed my hands on the alarm but missing horribly and I feel off my bed.

" RILEY MATTHEWS!" I hear my dad yell storming into my room. " WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? I NEED MY FUCKING SLEEP!" My dad yelled while dragging me to his office by my ear.

" I'm sorry! I feel off my bed trying to shut my alarm off." I say crying.

" STOP YOUR FUCKING EXCUSES!" he screams as we get to his office. Once we are in his office he goes to his desk and brings out a belt. SHIT! I think to my self. "TAKE OFF YOUR SHIRT!" my dad yells.

I do as I'm told and take off my shirt. I turn around and then I felt a stinging pain strike my back. After a few more my dad told me to put my shirt back on and get ready for school.

I go back to my room and put on a black sweatshirt and some skinny jeans, I didn't want anything that would show my back or that will hurt it. I through my hair up in a messy bun. I grab my bag and my phone and head out the door to school.

When I get to school I see my 2 best friends. Farkle and Maya, they don't know my dad abuses me but I'm not planning on telling them yet.

" hey Riles! Me and Farkle are going to the movies later! You want to come with?" Maya asks shoving her hands into her pockets.

" okay first its Farkle and I and second I can't! Apparently there's this new kid today and I have to show him around the school and the town!" I say frowning a little.
" and I wouldn't be able to anyway! I have WAY to much homework!" I said. Okay maybe I lied a little but there is a new kid today and I really want to know who he is!

" Riley school hasn't started yet how can you have so much homework?" Farkle asks raising an eyebrow up at me.

"My teachers gave them to me early." I say shrugging. The bell rings and every one starts going to their class. " okay well I better get going! I have to go get the new kid from the office bye you guys!" I say as I start to run off to the office.

" I'm so sorry I'm late Mrs. Collin! I was just telling my friends I couldn't hang out today!" I say panting. I look up to meet the most beautiful and sexy green eyes I have ever seen!

" its okay Riley! This is Lucas Friar the new kid!" She said pointing to Lucas.

I bite my lip and smile. " hi I'm Riley Matthews! I will be showing you around the school and town!" I say putting my hand out for him to shake it.

" hi! I'm Lucas Friar and its nice to meet you!" He says shaking my hand. I smile and we walk out of the office to start our tour!
