"Wake up." Someone nudged me and I turned around. I didn't want to get up and face the world. I just wanted my best friend back. I just want my normal life back where I don't have to keep worrying when my last breath was. "Can I just pour cold water on her? I've seen it in the movies. I always wanted to do it." Damon said with a mono voice but I knew his eyes were full of amusement. He knew I was awake so he was just trying to get me up. He was all bark but no bite.

I dig my face into the pillow and cuddle more into the covers. I heard Damon say okay and I felt someone staring down at me. "I would get up before he really does," Adam said with an amused tone. I shake my head knowing that he was trying to make me scared of Damon. I take a deep breath deciding to get up since I couldn't go back to sleep now. I start to turn my head from the pillows when I feel cold water splash on me. I gasp and get up so fast from my bed.

"Bloody idiot!" I scream glaring at him with all my might. I was soaked with cold water and I felt the ice fall from my body when I shot up. I charged towards Damon but he disappeared right when I reached him. I turn to Adam who was laughing. "Where did he go?" I ask with the most serious tone I have ever used. Adam continued to laugh ignoring my question and I stomped into the bathroom. I quickly showered with warm water to warm myself up. I change into comfortable clothes that I can fight in.

I walk out the bathroom ignoring Adam who was saying sorry for laughing. I shrug him off and walk downstairs to the kitchen. "I heard what happened" I turn to the unknown voice and see one of the men from yesterday.

"Sorry I'm bad with names who are you again?" I ask with a polite tone.

"Ethel" He says with a smile.

"Hi Ethel. Yeah I'm not mad about it. Do you know what they have up for me? Practice wise?" I ask opening the cabinet for cereal. He shrugs when I turn my gaze towards him. I pout and go for the milk. I pour myself a bowl of cereal and sit on the chair. He sits in front of me and lays his head down.  "What's wrong?"

He shakes his head mumbling under his breath. I could only here bits of what he said but they didn't make any sense. I ask him again and he let's out a deep sigh. "Just miss my family is all," he told me with a sad tone. I can feel his pain radiating off of him. "After this whole war I hope I can go back to them," he sends a small forced smile my way. I take in his features. He sounded fairly familiar but I don't remember where I have heard his voice before.

"I know you from somewhere. I don't no where but I recognize your voice," I say in a whisper. He looks at me with wide eyes. He opens his mouth to speak but Damon walks into the kitchen with a smirk. "What do you want," I ask without making contact with him.

"How was your little alarm," he says with a bigger smirk than before. I ignore him and get up from the chair. Not even noticing that I finished my cereal while waiting for Ethel to answer. "You aren't really mad are you?" his minty breath hits the back of my neck. I continue to ignore him for the fun of it.

I walk out the kitchen with a water bottle in hand. "Let's get this practice going. I watched a few videos before going to bed."
