Video Games

Chris' Pov

     I look in the mirror and sigh. I always look forward to seeing Ash,but it's terrifying.She always just looks at me with her big green eyes and I totally forget what I'm doing.That always ends up embarrassing me. I'm really nervous for today because Ash is coming over to play some video games.

    Suddenly I hear a knock on the door. I gulp and realize my hands are suddenly sweaty and I feel butterflies in my stomach. I slowly reach for the doorknob,put a smile on my face and open the door. There stands Ash but so small and fragile.

"Hi Chris!" Ash says giving me a small wave.

I finally look at her face and have to hold back a gasp. There she was but she had make-up on.

"Umm,Hey A-A-Ash. W-What happened t-to you?" I stutter.

"Oh you mean the make-up. Yeah,Jess and Em happened to me." She says with a small smile.

"You Want to play some games now?"I ask.

"I'm so stupid I should of said she looks cute."I think to myself.

"Yes totally. I just got a new game you would totally love!" Ash explains and she smiles brightly.

"Great,come on in!" I quickly say.

    "Okay,so this game just came out and I haven't played It yet but I looked at the trailer and some people where playing it and it's pretty cool." Ash explains.

"Cool, what's it called?" Chris asks.

"Its called left 4 dead." Ash says looking up at me.

"Ok,is it Xbox?"I ask."Yes." She replies and holds the bag out I reach in and take the bag from her,our finger tips just slightly brushing each other.

I look up and see her cheeks turn pink and mine are slowly heating up.Once I have the bag I walk into my living room to set it up. I hear a loud sigh and see Ash sit on the couch behind me.

"Oh no. No,no,no!" I exclaim.

"W-What's wrong?" Ash asks quickly looking around her.

"You do not get to sit down!" I say and stand up to face her.

"Huh,why?" She asks cautiously.

"You are on popcorn duty." I say raising a eyebrow and looking at her.

"What!No,you are!" Ash cries out as she leans into the couch and hugs her knees.

"Nope, I did it last time. Your turn." I say smiling.

"Ugh fine,But I'm making it with extra butter." Ash calls out as she walks into the kitchen.

"I like it that way."I say teasing her.

        When I don't hear a answer I know it's because Ash doesn't like to swear so she is probably mumbling Some curse words right now. I kneel down and finish putting the disc in.Then I turn on the headphones I have and attach them to our controls.Then I finish by signing us into Xbox live.When I'm finished I can smell popcorn and butter. I sit on the couch and wait for Ash to finish the popcorn.

After a few minutes Ash walks into the room and sits down beside me. Then she places the popcorn in between us. She looks to the side towards me,smiles and we both instantly grab the remotes.We quickly place the headphones on and start the game.

"I call being Zoey!" Ash calls out.

"Okay,I'm going to be Francis!" I call out laughing.

3 Hours Later

     It's been 3 hours since Ash and I started playing the game.I can tell Ash is getting restless because she keeps moving around. Maybe I should do something fun,but I wonder what. I know what I can do! I quickly look at my watch, I invited everyone over for a big supper in half a hour but that should be enough time.  I smile and scan the room looking for what I need. Finally I get a idea.

"Hey Ash,would you get me some water?"I ask as politely as I can.

"Yeah sure,I'll be right back." Ash says and she pauses the game and walks out of the room.

As soon as she leaves I quickly jump up and grab what I need. I slowly and silently sneak up on Ash,who just got a cup down. All of a sudden I hear a loud thunk and I see the pillow I'm holding hit the back of Ash.

"You did not just do that!" Ash exclaims as she slowly turns around and looks at me.

I instantly turn and run out of the room and hid around a corner.

     After awhile I hear her soft footsteps in the hallway. I swing and hit her legs making her fall face first.

"Crap!" I hear Ash yell.

I reach down to help her up.

"Wow Ash,that's like the first time I have ever heard you yell." I say through fits of laughter.

Suddenly Ash reaches up hitting me in my face,knocking my glasses off.

"Aww,no!"I yell.

I hear Ash running away and she calls out.

"Now look who's yelling !" I quickly pick up my glasses and charge strait for Ash knocking me and her down.

I feel our foreheads hit and I'm pretty sure that left a mark. I start looking around and notice Ash is lying right on top of me,our faces only inches apart. Ash's cheeks start burning pink and I'm pretty sure mine are to.

All of a sudden my front door open and in walks Em and Mike.

"Oh-" Em starts but you can't hear the rest because her hand is over her mouth.

Suddenly they both take their phone out and start snapping photos. Ash jumps off of me and hides her head in her hands and her cheeks are a bright red now. I just look at the ground and scratch the back of my head.

"Uhh, is there something we missed?" Mike asks.

"Yeah what's going on?" Em asks curiously.

"N-N-Nothing w-was going o-on." I stuttered. Just then Sam and Josh walked in.

"Hey Ash,everything okay?" Sam asks noticing our bright red cheeks.

"Y-Yeah everything's fine."Ash says.

"Hmm,okay."Sam says cautiously.

Just then the door opens and in walks Jess and Matt.

"Yawn this is boring already." Em whines.

"Oh shut up." Jess snaps. Just as Em is about to respond Sam cuts in.

"Alright who wants to play a game?" She asks.

Everyone nods in agreement.'Truth or Dare?" Sam asks,and once again everyone nods.

"Okay Truth or Dare it is then." Sam sighs.
