Until Dawn; Before and After

School

Ashley's Pov

I sigh as I see my school coming up next. I'm currently reaching above me hold on to a poll on a swiftly moving bus. I reach my other hand up to my head and secure my dark Red beanie. The bus stops with a huge jolt,sending me forward. I crash into a bunch of people.

"Sorry!" I say embarrassed.

"Watch where your going!" Someone yells at me as I run off the bus.

I start walking down the street and slowly get joined by more high school kids. We all walk towards the school. Some people push past me while other people stayed behind me. I eventually get to school and open the doors. I groan and then take a step into a extremely crowded hallway.

   I slowly walk down the hallway and turn left. I keep on walking. When I get to my locker I put in my combination and swing the door open. I hear beautiful clear laughing at the end of the hallway and turn to look. I see Jess and Matt standing beside each other talking along with all the other popular people. I sigh and grab my books, a thin stack of stapled paper and slam my locker shut. I slowly approach Jess and Matt.

 

"Here's  that thing you asked for." I say quickly and hand her the stack of paper.

"Thanks!" She replied bubbly and hands me $25.

"No problem." I say and the walk off as fast as I can.

  As I walk away I turn my head around and see Matt looking at me.

"He's probably worried about me." I think to myself.

I give him a reassuring smile and keep walking. Just as I turn my head around I bump into someone. Sending papers and binders everywhere.

   "Hey!Watch it nerd!" One of the guys yells at me me.

"I-I-I'm s-sorry." I stutter and look at the floor.

"Why where you bugging Jessica?" The other one says taking a step towards me.

"I-I was just g-g-giving her something that she asked for." I whisper.

"What would she ever want from your?" The first one says and he stares at me darkly.

I shrug and worry fills my eyes. Suddenly he reaches forward ripping my beanie off.

"Hey catch!" He calls to the other guy and he swiftly moves behind me.

They start throwing it back and forth over my head.

"Stop it!" I exclaim as I try to reach for it.

"Haha Nerd you can't even get it. Your so bad at this!" The guy behind me calls out.

I feel tears form in my eyes and see that people have made a circle around us and where all laughing at me.

"Wrong, Your so bad at everything." The call in front of me says with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Why don't you just stop coming to school?Its not like anyone cares about you." He continues.

Suddenly I feel a burst of adrenaline and I jump up grabbing my beanie. I quickly put it on my head and feel tears falling, I rush into the bathroom and lock myself in a stall.

I hear Jess and Matt outside yelling at everyone.

"Leave her alone you jerks!" Jess yells her voice filled with fury.

I suddenly hear a loud noise and someone yelling out in pain.

"Maybe Matt hit someone."I think to myself.

I look at my watch and see its period 5. I gather my stuff and sneak out the school doors. I'm just about to think I'm free when someone steps in front of me,blocking the bus stop. I gulp and look up. A wave of relief hit me when I see its Matt.

"Where are you going?" He asks and raises his eyebrow

"Away from here."

I turn around and I march off.

3 Hours Later

    I walk through the park and take photos of the animal,the ice cream truck, a fountain and the sky. I just walk. I feel like I can't breathe and that I don't care. I find a peaceful place full of light and flowers. I take a picture of it before lying down in the centre. I open a bottle of water and reach into my pocket taking out handfuls and handfuls of pills. I spread them out around me and one by one a swallow them. Each time I swallow one I feel guilt.Finally only a few are left and I feel my eyes roll to the back of my head and my body collapse on the ground.

  I shake my head and sit up.

"Woah,that was a weird dream." I think to myself as I look around my room.

My arm still feels numb but not as much. I hear the door bell ringing and I walk down to front door. I reach for the handle and open the door. I suddenly get stiff as I feel someone jump on me and hugging me tightly. Finally she lets go and I look up at her. I gasp in shock.

"B-B-Beth?" I stutter.

"Hey Ash."she says and squeezes my arm.

"What a-a-are you d-d-doing here?" I gasp.

"This is so hard to tell you Ash." She says and looks at me.

"Tell me what?" I ask and take a step forward.

"Your dying Ash." She answers.

"W-W-What." I whisper.

I fall back but Beth catches me.

"If I'm dying are you dead?" I whisper and I hear the fear in my voice.

I look at Beth and she nods.

"Then where is Hannah?" I ask.

"I don't know." Beth says her face darkens for a second.

  I reach forward and give Beth a hug.

"I'm sorry about the prank. I honestly can't remember most of it. I just remember me giggling." I whisper.

"I know, and Ash I'm sorry but I have to do this." Beth says.

"Do what." I ask and look up at her.

I hear a loud slap and my cheek starts burning. My eyes fill with tears and then everything goes black.

   I hear hospital beeps and I feel like I'm being pushed on a bed. I look around slightly and see doctors and Nurses surrounding me, pushing me on a bed. I look at my feet and see a red faced Chris with tears falling down his face. I hear people yelling and Chris crying. I see Josh and Mike pulling Chris away from me and doors slam shut separating us. As a nurse secures and mask on my nose and mouth I hear Chis bang on the doors before I enter a world of  darkness.
