Truth or Dare

Mikes Pov

    Almost everyone is sitting in circle on the floor getting ready to play the game.

"Why can't we sit on the couches?" Em whined.

"Because you look pissed and sitting on the couches will make you happy."Jess replies.

Just then Sam starts talking.

"Who wants to go first?" She asks and looks around.

"You can go."  Ash says quietly as she comes into the room and sits on her knees.

"Oh,okay. Umm Truth or Dare Jess?" Sam asks.

"Dare." Jess says confidently.

"I dare you to give Mike a kiss."Sam says and looks at me smirking.

"Easy,is that the best you can do?" Jess asks as she moves towards me.

Em keeps glaring at her and once Jess goes to sit back in her spot Em grabs my hand.

"Truth or Dare Mike." Jess says loudly and looks at me.

"Pfff, that's easy. Dare." I says looking around at everyone in the circle and then finally looked at Jess.

"If Em wasn't here, as in apart of the group. Who would you date?" Jess asks.

"Well I cant date you,your her best friend." I say and then take a sip from my half empty beer bottle.

I only have two choices Sam and Ash. I'm about to say Sam because I feel like I know her better but then I look at Ash and the memories start flooding back.

     I remember her flipping her hair and laughing before she started wearing beanies. I remember holding her hand as she got her piercings,I wonder if she still has them. I was with her when she dyed her hair to the Red and orange colour she has,I bet I'm the only one that knows her original hair colour is brown. But I mostly remember her always coming to the school games with big signs and face paint to cheer me on and on the last night we spent together before summer break I took her on a picnic over looking the city and gave her a promise ring.

"I think I would date Ash." I say and I hear gasps of shock all around the room.

Ash looks up in shock and quickly looks around at everyone and then at her hands in her lap.

  "W-What." Chris asks and looks up at me.

"Yeah,why Ash?"Em asks.

"Why do you care?" I snap.

"I can't let them find out." I think to myself.

"Because you can't just expect us to not want to know why you would choose to date her." Em explains obviously noticing I'm hiding something.

"Well there's no reason."I say glaring at her.

"Whatever." Em says.

"Truth or Dare Matt?" I ask and look at him.

"Dare." Matt says but not sounding very confident.

" I dare you to skip out on your next football game." I say and smirk at him.

"What? No! Next game is the last game of the year! Jess and Ash know how important it is!" Matt cries out.
Everyone glares at him except for a few people before he finally says he'll do it.
