Chapter 4: Battle for the Relic Badge!

Me: Alright I think its time to update this because it has been two months since I even updated this story so yeah I hope you all enjoy this chapter

The sun began to rise and I woke up and stretched "Alright today's the day wr get our 5th badge" Pikachu and Gardevoir started to wake up ready to battle. I smirked are you two ready to battle"

Pikachu jumped on my head "Pika pi!" I smiled at him and patted his head "What about you Gardevoir are you ready?" She smiled "Oh yeah and we're gonna win!" I smiled "Thats the spirit Gardevoir" I got out of bed fully dressed "Alright lets get something to eat then we'll have energy to win that badge!"
"Pikachu"
"Yeah I'm hungry to lets go eat now"

We went to the lobby of the Pokemon Center and brought out Staraptor and gave the three some breakfast "Eat up you three"
"Pika"
"You got it"
"Staraptor" They started to eat and I smiled (They sure have a big appetite"

As they ate a girl ran in the Pokemon Center holding a Pikachu she ran to the counter "Nurse Joy please help me its Pipi" Nurse Joy looked at her "You challenged the gym again didn't you" The girl looked down "We were so close this time."

Nurse Joy took her Pikachu and gave it to Chansey "That Fantina her Ghost type Pokemon are strong huh?" She looked down "Yeah especially that Hypnosis no matter how hard we try"

Nurse Joy smiled "Well I still find it impressive that you managed to close with just one Pokemon"

She smiled and scratched the back of her head "I try to be like my brother, I wonder how he is on his journey? He's supposed to be traveling with his friends right now" After a while Nurse Joy gave her back Pikachu who still asleep "Just let her rest and she'll be fine" The girl smiled at her and sat down "We'll give it one more chance"

I looked at her (She look familiar) My Pokemon and they finished eating "Alright gang lets go, Staraptor return" I returned him back in his pokeball and started to walk out the Pokemon Center heading to the Gym "Were gonna show this gym who's boss"
"That's right"
"Pikachu"

We got to the gym and before we could go inside the doors flew open and I fell to the ground "Pika Pika pi" "Travis are you okay?" I scatched my head and looked up to see a blonde guy with orange eyes, he looked at me "HEY WATCH WHERE YOUR GOING NOW I'M GONNA HAVE TO FINE YOU HAVE 10 SECONDS 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 TIMES UP NOW PAY UP!"

Me, Pikachu, and Gardevoir had a Question Mark over our heads looking at him "Uh who are you?"

He smiled "My name is Barry and I'm gonna be the best and strongest Trainer there is."

I looked at him and got up " Well my name is Travis and I'm gonna be the strongest Trainer there is"

Barry looked at me and laughed "Ha you! I can beat you in my sleep." I glared at him "Is that a fact well after I beat this gym maybe I'll fight you"

"Ha if I can't beat that gym what makes you think you can" I smirked "Watch and see my friend"

"Hm alright fine I'll watch you lose"

We walked to inside the gym and I saw the gym leader she looked at me and smiled "Ohohoh!! Finally a new challenger to challemge me! Now tell me your name challenger" She was speaking in a somewhat French accent

"My name is Travis Barlatier and I come from the Kanto region and I'm here to beat you" She smiled "Well then you seem like you seem like the type likes to get into action no? Well then lets get things started" I looked at Barry "Hey Barry watch and learn"
"Come on Travis I don't need to learn what a loser you are I already know that"
