In first grade, I would get up at three in the morning to watch music videos on VH1 and MTV. I used to call them the love song channels. My favorites were Evanescence and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. So, I had awesome taste in music pretty early. Being up that early, though, I would see the Girls Gone Wild commercials and paid programmings; and I learned the world "sexy." I went to school and asked a girl if she had ever seen the sexy commercials. She told on me and I got in trouble for saying sexy in school.
I was in the bathroom that we had inside the classroom one day when I started singing. The kids in line for the bathroom told me I sounded good, so I signed up for the talent show.
Later that year during the Christmas play, I stood behind a girl I wanted to impress. Let's call her Satan. She started asking me who I liked in class. Of course, I wanted to be her friend because, like I said before, I wanted to be friends with the girls that hated me. I told her I didn't like anyone. She called me a loser and turned her back toward me. So I said, "Well, there's one person." I told her the first person I saw. Let's call him Blue. She told him about it. The next day, he asked if I was still his girlfriend.
Soon after that, we got a new kid. Let's call him Trouble. He decided his main goal was to make me hate him from then to the ninth grade.
The talent show came along at the end of the year and I told them I was going to sing the Powerpuff Girls theme song. The thing was, I didn't know the words to the theme song. So when I got up on stage, I improvised. I sang stuff that I knew about them and the show until I got shy and quit singing, then ran off stage.
A little better than Kindergarten, don't you think?
