Eight months. From what he tells me, it's been eight months since he took me. Eight long months of pure torment since he separated me from the world and dropped me into his pit of endless suffering in his own little corner of hell.
It's already been eight months but it seems so much longer than that. It is so silent in here, so dark. There are two things I hear clearly though; the voice in my head aching me to think of a way to escape but I...I don't think I have it in me to fight any longer. The more I try to escape, the more people end up dying because of me. The second thing I hear is the loud buzzing of flies that have gathered over the dead body in the corner. Gratefully, I can't see her body laying in the corner any more, reason being he's darkened the room by a smear of black paint all over the basement window, turning the room completely pitch in an endless and nightmarish black. I don't know whether it is day or night, I've lost all track of time. However, "it's been eight months since I took you," his grim whisper resounds in my head, which I believe because of the ever-growing fetus still in my belly. One more month till I give birth to it. I don't even want to imagine bringing a baby into this horrid world with monsters like him roaming -let alone give birth to a baby in this pit. To think, the only problem I only had was which prom dress to buy, until I found out that I'm pregnant at the age of sixteen, whether to tell my parents or have an abortion. Now my biggest problem is how to keep from dying and finding a way out of this basement.
