Edwards drives his car in the mansion filled cul-de-sac, parking near the home of the Dillion family. Agent Rennik steps out of the car to view the giant house. A fountain on the outside with cupid statues spewing a water stream from their mouths. "Wow. This is some neighbourhood." She says.
"A-listers." Edwards says as he brushes past her and paces towards the door. Agent Rennik scopes out the driveway to the house, "no cars parked," she thinks to herself as she takes note that the owners of the house might not be home.
Edwards rings the doorbell. They wait for a while, no answer. Edwards then walks around to the front window to peek in. "I don't think there's anyone in there." He says while looking through the window, steaming the glass with his breath. Agent Rennik rings the doorbell once again. They wait a couple more minutes, "Yeah, I think you're right." She says.
"mm-hmm" Edwards murmurs and adds, "She should be at-" The front door opens and it's Casey, "...school." Edwards finishes his last statement. "Casey Dillion?" Agent Rennik asks, knowing the answer to the question.
"Yes?" Casey says with a tickle in her throat, which she clears after speaking.
"I'm Agent Moira Rennik, FBI. May we come in to have a chat with you for just a second?" she asks while pocketing her badge.
"Sure. Come in." Casey says, dragging out each word.
"You're not in school today, Casey?" Edwards asks.
"I came home early. Couldn't concentrate during class." She answers. "Have you...? Have you found out anything?" She asks with concern weighing down her voice.
"We're still working on it."
"Since when did the FBI join the search?" She asks staring at the agent.
"Since earlier today. Well with it being the presumed last day of her captivity." She bluntly blurts out. Edwards sets two of his fingers on the corners of his eyes and whispers, "Oh God." He gives up on trying to predict how this woman works, as she has been blurting out confidential things about the case to the surviving victims. "What?" Casey asks concerned and confused to the agent's previous statement.
"Oh, you don't know? I figured that the detective here told you." She says to her.
"Told me what?" she asks while staring at detective Edwards, "Told me what!?" she repeats.
"Your frien-Heather, evidence point that she's been abducted by the Rabbit Hole Killer." He admits to her. Casey covers her mouth with her hands as she takes in the news. Her eyes water and drips with tears. "Oh my God." She says with her mouth still covered, "She is-she's taken by that psycho!?"
"Yes. I don't know if you know how he-"
"Three days." Casey says, "He takes three days before killing his victims. And it's been three days since Heather went missing." She says in a traumatic state, tears sliding down her face. Edwards stares at Casey confused and wonders how does she know the killer's three day kill time.
"Yes, and if we don't act soon, Heather will be dead." Agent Rennik says as she sits down beside her.
"What do you want me to tell you?" Casey asks.
"I've been to see Heather's parents, and they told me that a week before she got kidnapped, Heather went to see a doctor."
"Yes, she did."
"Why? What was wrong with her?" The agent asks patiently.
"I don't know, I think she said she had a stomach bug or something." She says.
