1 month later~
Lucy's P.O.V:
I've become friends with all of Matthew's friends. Over the time I have been here me and Matthew. I have grown feelings for him. I think I've fallen in love.
I turn the corner for the hallway and I bum into Matthew. I was about to fall, but he grabs my hand and wraps his other arm around my back. We both bush and the like crazy. He pulls me back onto my feet.
"Uh sorry I should be watching where I'm going." I said quickly because I'm flustered.
"So should I. You ok?" He said just as flustered.
"Yeah I'm fine."
"You look very pretty." He said smiling. I'm wearing light blue skinny jeans and a pink t-shirt.
"Thanks." I said as we both walked into the living room. We sat on the couch. We just sat there for a few minutes in silence.
Then out of the blue Maya burst through the door. "He knows." She said with a scared face. "He knows about Lucy."
"What? How did he find out?" Matthew said standing up quickly.
"Wait, who is he?" I asked looking at them both. They both looked at me worried. "What?"
"His name is Lucas. I'm a police officer and he is a big drug dealer. He sells this drug called santhoserna. I've taken him down a couple of times. He hates me." Matthew said patting my head.
"He told me to give you this Matthew." Maya said handing a paper to Matthew. He looked at it and his eyes got really big.
"What? What's wrong?" I asked getting kind of scared.
"It's nothing. Lucy please go sit in my room." He said and I got up and walked to the hallway and hid.
Matthew's P.O.V:
After I was sure that Lucy was in my room.
"He knows she is a human?"
"Yes. He knew about her, but I don't know how." Maya said walking around the living room.
I punched a whole in the wall. "This isn't good."
"What are you going to do? What did the note say?" Maya asked looking at me.
"It said that if I didn't give him all the santhoserna that I took back by tommorow afternoon he will hurt Lucy. I don't have the authority to do that though." I said looking at her sadly.
"Look you can take her to my house tommorow and age can stay the night. I live alone and I could invite Mason over to help me protect her." Maya said sitting on the couch.
"That would help could you please?" I asked looking at her with pleading eyes.
"Of course. I know how much you care about her." She said with a calming voice.
"Thanks. I just don't want her to get hurt." I said sitting next to her.
"Don't worry we will do everything we can." Maya said as she got up. "I need to go get my house ready. You should probably tell her."
She left and I stood up. I turned around and looked at the hall. Lucy was standing there watching.
"How long have you been there Lucy?" I asked walking over to her.
"I never left. I just kinda hid in the hallway." She said looking up into my eyes.
"So you heard everything." I said looking her in the eyes. She looked at the ground. "We aren't going to let anyone hurt you."
"I know."
