Ruth and Naomi and very very poor. There was a man there named Boaz who was related to Elimelech. He was very rich. Ruth decided to pick through the fields to find something for them to eat. She miraculously chooses a part of the field that Boaz owns. He sees her and asks one of his servants who she is and he explains to him her backstory of how she stayed by Naomi's side. Boaz goes out and tells her that she can stay in his field all season long and that she can drink from the same water at the workers, and he tells her he told the workers to leave her alone. She's so thankful that she lays on the ground. "Why are you being so nice to me?" She asks.
"I've heard your story, you deserve it"
Boaz lets her eat with him and she stuffs herself. Boaz continues to be kind and tells the workers to leave some barley for her.
When Ruth goes home, Naomi wants to know where she got all the food. She tells her about Boaz and she recognizes the name. Naomi encourages her to go back the next day.
