Chapter 2 Way too far

The classes sure ended quickly that day and it was almost time for pack up. You were packing your stuff when your homeroom teacher came inside the classroom. The classroom was empty only you two were left.

'What does he want' you thought to yourself putting your books inside.

"oh (Name) and Kirito, I got some work for you please come here" he says as he walk in with some papers. You walk to him with Kirito behind you.

"What is it?" you ask looking at the papers.

"I want you two to make the time table for your class and also could you organize the list of events too?" he gives you the papers "After you have done please return them to the teacher's office" and then he leaves.

You look at the papers "He didn't even ask if we want to or not"

"Guess we have to do it now" sighs Kirito from behind.

You turn to look at him, you were so destroying your "don't" policy and your dad was gonna kill you for that.

"Do it yourself I don't want to, I'm going home" you hand over the papers to him, put on your bag and was about to leave when Kirito pulls your hand. You stop halfway and glare at his hand and then at his face. He quickly takes his hand back getting the message. "Okay sorry no touching I get it geez!" he looks away "but come on you're the class rep too you know"

"I didn't ask for it" you say bluntly

"As if I did. I didn't want to end up sticking to a girl who is too shy to speak up" he says annoyed looking at you

"Well excuse me! I also didn't want to end up with a dumbstruck idiot like you" you cross your arms to your chest.

"What the hell did I ever do to you? You were the one having a crush on me. I was just trying to be nice" he says and you are taken back by his word.

"Who said I had a crush on you?!" you were beetroot as you shouted at him

"Well duh! It was written all over your face!" he exclaims

How could that be you never wanted to notice a guy let alone have a fight with him and what's with the crush thing.

'I didn't have a crush on him' you thought or maybe you were just too naïve to see it.

"I'm leaving" you said quietly and pick up the papers "I'll return them tomorrow after completing"'

Kirito felt ashamed of having a fight with you and saying all that stupid stuff about you he really didn't mean it.

"Look I'm sorry" he finally speaks up

"What for?" you ask looking at him

"For everything I said I was kind of pissed off about being the class rep and I let the anger out on you" he was really sorry now.

"Okay fine I'm sorry too" you say and see his face brighten up.

He takes out his hand. "so friends?"

You resist taking it but shake it then "no just acquaintances"

"huh why?" he asks kind of shocked ([a/n]: why reader chan why!!!? XD)

"It's my parents they are really strict that's why" you say

"oh okay" he says understanding a little bit "Anyway let's start with the work" He sits down on a chair you drag a chair and sit opposite to him and put the papers on the desk.

"Let's divide the job you take the time table I'll organize events" you say giving him the papers, he nods and starts working.

You both were working continuously when you looked up to see him writing his part of the work. He looked quite peaceful when he was working. You couldn't see his eyes due to his hair falling on them.

He looks up but you were staring and you didn't even notice he asks "What?"

You turn back to reality "N.nothing!" you say and put your head back down looking at the paper with a face bright red.

"You don't have to hide it" he says smiling

"Hide what!?" you almost shout

"That you like me" he replies calm

"I don't like you!" you say and give him your papers "Give them to the teacher for me its done"

You quickly get up and walk off without even saying a goodbye that was awkward really, really awkward. 'Why did he have to say that!' you face palm yourself for reacting so stupidly. 'But that was way too far yea way too far for him to say that!'
