Chapter 18: Secrets

Your vision was fading in and out of focus, you could hear people talking, it sounded like Matthew and Tommy but it came out as unintelligible blubbering. You started to see black around the corners of your vision, but slowly it crept up on you filling your vision completely until you fainted.

You woke up on your bed, groggily and painfully you rose to a sitting position leaning your back against the headboard, you had several stitches on you, and you felt like you had been hit by a horse. You swung you legs over the bed and pulled on a shirt, slowly making your way towards the door, you opened it barely anyone was in the building, you leaned against the railing just admiring the view and enjoying the peace. Until you felt two pairs of hands on your shoulders, "Did my best trying to fix you up" Dylan said in a worried tone, "Dylan you did a fine job" you reassured him and hugged him. "What about me?" Whined Sheamus, you turned around and hugged him "I betted on you, you know" he chirped, Dylan gave him a confused look "I thought you better on Nat-" Sheamus quickly covered Dylan's mouth and gave you a sheepish grin.

Dylan had a unamused look on his face, and forcibly removed Sheamus' hand from his mouth "Anyway we came to tell you that Arthur wants to see you, he's in his cabin" Dylan said, "Thank you for telling me" you replied as you made your way up the many flights of stairs to the top floor. You walked across the captains balcony, the doors here were still made out of wood but they had intricate patterns on them and fancy handles. You saw Captain Xiao Mei talking to one of the other captains an albino man wearing a dark blue coat and white trousers and a iron cross necklace. "Excuse me, captain Xiao do you know where Kirkland's room is, he wanted to talk to me about my fight in the pit" you asked, she nodded "His room is fourth to the end, well done in the fight you were quite exceptional" she praised, you nodded and continued to walk down the balcony, feeling nervous since the albino captains eye bore into the back of your neck.

You stood in front of the door, you knocked on the door a 'enter' sounded from inside the room. You walked in Arthur had a nicer room than you did, it looked exactly like his cabin on the ship, except their was less rum and less maps scattered everywhere, Arthur looked up and when he saw you he instantly walked over to you, slammed the door shut and pressed you against it  kissing your forcefully, you whimpered a little and wrapped your arms around his neck, he broke away and pulled you towards the bed were he gently pushed you down and climbed on top of you. You kissed him, your hands cupping his face, you felt a cold rush of air to your sides as he was trying to push your shirt up, you slapped his hand away. "I'm a captain, I do what I like" he said in an irratated tone, he went to put his hand back under your shirt but you grabbed his wrist "And I'm your lover telling you, you can't do something" you snapped back.

He shrugged and leant up so he was on his knees, "I knew their was a reason why I kept you around" he said a smirk on his face, he got off you and laid down next to you on the bed, he lifted his arm up and you shifted in the bed so that your head was resting on Arthurs arm, hand on his chest. "And what would that be?" you asked, "Your not like other women you don't let me push you around" he said in a loving tone, "So there's other woman" you teased, he turned his head "No, never why would I need others when I have you" Arthur cooed, tilting your head with his thumb and forefinger and gently kissing you on the lips. Your head then returned to his arm he looked back up at the ceiling you both laying like that in a comfortable silence, "You would never lie to me, would you?" He asked you lifted your head his eyes still trained on the ceiling, "No, why would you think such a thing" you said in disbelief, "Promise me" he stated "Promise me!" He ordered slight aggression in his tone. You though for a minute this was risky promise but none the less "I promise" you said.

Arthur had told you that whoever had won the fights in the pit were allowed to join the captains for dinner that night, The Chinese captain had picked out to beautifully intricate gowns for you, but they still held a bit of a boyish flair so you and Elizebeta didn't mind to much. In fact, you found out you had a lot in common with the nomadic girl. You were both going since technically it was a draw between the two of you, and so that's what led you two eating the nicest food you had ever eaten and happily sharing daring stories about thieving and battles. You caught Arthur's eye and you smiled at him he smiled back. The other captains were happily talking about other things such as raids, the amount of women that had been with or arguing. But at the head of the table was the Chinese captain Wang he had being eyeing you the entire time and to be quiet honest it was creeping you out, mainly because he looked vaguely familiar.

You stood up as you went to bring a jug of water to the table, the rest of the Chinese girls were being flirted with by the captains so you took initiative, as you placed the water jug down, Wang spoke to you "Have we met before you look vaguely familiar?" He said in a somewhat cold voice, you jumped slightly "No I don't think we have" you said cautiously, he eyes you up "Kirkland has been boasting about how he plans on finding the Treasure of the Last Dragon Queen, how do you come to play in all of this?" He asked, he was interrogating you, he couldn't find out the truth so you played it cool. "I speak the language of the isles, I grew up their and we have half of a note that we found that leads us to were it is" you said calmly "Liar" he stated irritation on his face.

The room went quite and all eyes turned to you and Wang, "Only the Dragon Queen spoke that language and she only taught her closest allies how to speak it" he stated, "W-Well I-" "Your too young to have been around then don't lie to me!" He hissed, but a expression crossed over his face it was one of pure amazement "The Dragon Queen couldn't of possible of had a child" Arthur deafened realising what he was thinking, standing up angrily "She had no lovers" "Yes she did, The King they were married and when he exiled her she was only a few weeks pregnant, I would know I was very close to her" he said slowly, he then turned to you, "What's your surname?" He asked slowly, "I-I" you stuttered "___" Arthur spoke voice cracking, he looked so confused and hurt. "I met Naemala Drakkine's, the Dragon Queens child, she had a little girl with (your hair colour) just like her fathers" he spoke.

You were frozen and time seemed to slow down, because it was true you were the Last Dragon Queens, Naemala Drakkine's child, and your secret had been revealed.
