Chapter 4: First Night

R.I.P. Cory

Cory Monteith died on Saturday. I was a huge fan. He was one of my many inspirations. I remember when i first saw him on an episode of supernatural and thought he was cute so i looked him up. And ive been watching Glee ever since it started. Im a Gleek and im not afraid to admit that (it says it in my bio) One reason i loved Cory and thought he was so inspiring was because he was so strong. He had gotten into drugs at a young age. He dropped out of school. Never went back. But then he became a very successful actor. His voice and acting is amazing. He completely turned his life around. He went into rehab. I was on twitter and when i refreshed it there was a tweet from Mark Salling, Cory's best friend. he had tweeted "no" and that was it. So i started doing my research and found the article about Cory Monteith found dead in the hotel room in Vancouver. One tear fell from my eyes. Even though i didnt know him personally i loved him dearly. He was one of my many inspirations and always will be even if some of his decisions werent the best. My prayers go out to friends, family, fans. And especially Lea Michele his girlfriend. Sorry for this long authors note but i just wanted to now take a moment of silence to respect Cory and his loved ones. 

I love you Cory. Rest in peace. <3

Recap:

“And Logan, Youre going to stay with Darcy and her uncles while we’re away. We’re leaving tomorrow night. You can pack up all your stuff and tomorrow after school drive here instead of home. We don’t know how long we’re going to be gone. Mia was a very close friend of ours in high school.” My father said. Wait what?! I’m staying with Darcy?!

“Look not to be disrespectful or rude but why am I staying with Darcy and her uncles?” I asked.

“Logan I grew up with her uncles. They were like my own brothers. I spent more time at Lennie’s house than at my own. I want you to be safe while im gone and I know youll be safe with them. Max is a SWAT agent and Teddy is a very good guy. Ok?” my mother said inbetween sniffles. I nodded not wanting to argue with her when she was sad.

We left about an hour later, after everything was arranged. I had texted Hunter about me staying with Darcy. He texted back moments later saying, ‘Nice! Might have to hang out at your new home more! Sorry about your parents friend though :/’

Once we got home I started packing a bag with clothes and everything I would need like my laptop and phone charger and a few textbooks.

Next Day

“Logan stop!” Darcy yelled. She was sitting on her bed drawing or something and i was standing in her doorway calling her name out repeatedly. We had gotten home from school about an hour ago and her uncle still wasn’t here.

“Darcy.” I said just to piss her off. She glared at me and ripped her headphones out of her ears. If this was  a cartoon smoke would be coming out of her ears. She stood up and walked right infront of me so our bodies were almost touching. She looked up at me since I was a lot taller than her. She pointed her finger at my chest.

“If you don’t leave me alone I will murder you with a plastic spoon in your sleep and will put your organs in cake form and resurrect you just to feed you the organ cake.” She said through gritted teeth. I busted out laughing and leaned my head back.

“You’re so cute!” I howled in between laughter. Her cheeks blushed a crimson color.

“Don’t say that.” She said leaning her head down trying to cover her blush.

“Awww why? Does it embarrass Baby Doll?” I teased. She mumbled a shut up before going back to her bed and began drawing again.

“Whatcha doin’” I asked curiously, walking over to her bed and plopping down on it.

“Just doodling.” She replied. I noticed that she was sticking her tongue out in concentration like she did when we were in the library.

“You do that when you concentrate don’t you?” I asked. She glanced up at me in confusion.

“What?”

“You stick your tongue out.” When I said it she moved her tongue back into her mouth.

“Oh. I guess so I don’t know.” She said suddenly being all shy.

“Whats up with you?” I asked. She just looked at me in confusion. “Like youre all dark and mysterious but you act happy around your friends. Why?”

“Because theyre my friends and they don’t annoy me all the time.” She said.

“Chubs!” a male voice yelled. Darcy’s face brightened immediately and she ran out of her room. I followed her, she was hugging a tall muscular man with dark hair. He looked at me and let go of Darcy and walked over to me.

“Hi. You must be Logan. I’m Teddy, Darcy’s uncle.” He said in a deep voice. He held his hand out for me to shake. He turned back around to Darcy.

“Chubs its winter time why are you wearing shorts?!” he asked.

“I have thick tights on!” Darcy defended. He turned back to me.

“Youre Mark and Lex’s son huh?” he asked. I nodded in response. “They’ve always wanted to name their son Logan. They always talked about it in high school. And Lennie always wanted to name her kid Darcy.”

“Yeah yeah you’ve told me this so many times Uncle Teddy.” Darcy said rolling her eyes.

“Don’t give me sass Chubs.” Teddy said snapping his fingers sassily. I laughed as he called her chubs again.

“Oh you wanna know why I call her chubs?” Teddy smiled. Darcy groaned and rubbed her temples.

“She was a really fat baby. Like really fat.”  I laughed as I imagined Darcy fat. “and its really ironic because now she is literally one of the skinniest people ive ever seen.” I nodded in agreement with him.

“What do you kids wanna do for dinner?” teddy asked in an old man voice.

“Thai food!!” Darcy yelled. Teddy and I looked at her in disgust.

“I think we should get pizza.” Teddy said. I nodded.Darcy sighed but nodded and mumbled a ‘fine’. “I always win Chubs, you know that.”

Darcy’s POV

There was a knock at the door. I stood up from the couch and walked over to the front door. I paid the pizza guy and brought the large pepperoni pizza into the living room where we were watching ‘The Hangover’ it was a funny movie. It came out when Teddy was younger. I took a large slice of pizza and a sip from my can of Dr. Pepper. The movie was really funny. When it was over I went to take a shower. I let the water warm up before stepping into the shower. I let the warm water pound down onto my back. I got out of the shower once I was clean and put on a pair of black and white polka dot pajama shorts and a grey long sleeve shirt that went to a little bit above my mid thigh. I pulled my hair into a loose bun and removed any excess makeup. I walked out of the bathroom and walked into my room to check my phone. I had a text from Tinsley.

Hey babe. Hows the first night with logan??? To avoid disaster cover his blaster. ;) –tinsley

I quickly typed my reply hah youre so funny. Nothing is going to happen so get rid of your make shift condom sayings.

I walked out to the living room. Teddy and Logan were watching a show on Comedy Central.

“Im going to bed.” I said. I gave Teddy a hug and kicked Logan’s shin.
