Chapter 5

Recap:

Darcy’s POV

There was a knock at the door. I stood up from the couch and walked over to the front door. I paid the pizza guy and brought the large pepperoni pizza into the living room where we were watching ‘The Hangover’ it was a funny movie. It came out when Teddy was younger. I took a large slice of pizza and a sip from my can of Dr. Pepper. The movie was really funny. When it was over I went to take a shower. I let the water warm up before stepping into the shower. I let the warm water pound down onto my back. I got out of the shower once I was clean and put on a pair of black and white polka dot pajama shorts and a grey long sleeve shirt that went to a little bit above my mid thigh. I pulled my hair into a loose bun and removed any excess makeup. I walked out of the bathroom and walked into my room to check my phone. I had a text from Tinsley.

‘Hey babe. Hows the first night with logan??? To avoid disaster cover his blaster. ;) –tinsley’

I quickly typed my reply: ‘ hah youre so funny. Nothing is going to happen so get rid of your make shift condom sayings.’

I walked out to the living room. Teddy and Logan were watching a show on Comedy Central.

“Im going to bed.” I said. I gave Teddy a hug and kicked Logan’s shin.

I laid in bed for a while, not able to sleep. Good thing it was a Friday or I would be even more tired if I had to go to school. I felt tired but I just couldn’t sleep. I sighed and sat up. I decided to get some tea. I walked out of my room and down the hallway to the kitchen. I grabbed my blue mug with little daisies all over it and grabbed the tea from the cupboard. I chose chai and put some hot water in the kettle and set it on the stove waiting for it to whistle. I tapped my fingers rhythmically on the kitchen counter as I waited for the water to heat up. I pulled my hair out if its messy bun and ran my hand through it a couple of times before putting it up again.

“hey chubs, im going to bed.” Teddy said yawning as he walked past the kitchen. His head popped back in seconds later “oh and I have to leave early tomorrow so I probably wont be home when you wake up. I’ll probably be back for dinner though.” He said then walked away again.

I hummed ‘She Will Be Loved’ by Maroon 5 to myself as I waited. The bathroom door opened and then I heard a big yawn come from teddy from down the hall. I chuckled and turned towards the kettle that was now whistling. I poured the steaming water into my cup and started dipping the tea bag in. I grabbed my cup and started walking towards my room. There was a glow coming from the living room. I peered around the corner and saw Logan talking on the phone with the tv on mute. And being the nosy girl I am, I listened to his side of the conversation.

“Dude I don’t know what to do.” Logan said in a hushed tone. He shook his head and ran his head through his hair before replying to the person on the other line.  “No man. She’s not like the other girls, she’s, I don’t know she’s just different.” He said looking around the room frantically. “Yeh. I don’t know, I better go, they’re asleep. Later Hunt.” he said then threw his phone on the couch. I took a step backwards but the floor creaked. I cringed praying to god that Logan did not hear that.

“Darcy?” he said and walked around the corner. He stared at me his eyes widening as he processed that I was standing there.

“H-how much d-did you hear of that conversation?” he stuttered. I tapped my chin pretending to think and smirked.

“Enough to know you like a girl and you don’t just wanna use her for your body like you usually do.” I teased. He laughed nervously and scratched the back of his neck. Hmmm I wander why he’s nervous. Maybe I could use this to my advantage. *insert evil grin and laugh here*

“So um where can I sleep?” he asked. I motioned for him to follow me and walked into my room.

“Woah babydoll I know you like me but are you sure?” he winked after he completed his sentence. I smacked his chest before setting my tea down on my bedside table.

“I just was going to grab you from blankets.” I stated then went into my closet to grab the blankets from the top shelf. I got on my tip toes trying to reach the blankets that happened to be just out of my reach. I felt a presence come up behind me. His chest was pressed into my back as he grabbed the blankets with ease. I sighed and turned around to stare straight at his chest. I slowly looked up and mumbled a ‘thanks’ but he wouldn’t budge. He just stared down at me. I placed my hands lightly on his chest and pushed him back. I grabbed my tea to take a quick sip but when I turned around Logan had a bed made up of a bunch of pillows and blankets on the floor.

“Logan you aren’t sleeping in here!” I demanded.

“You’re right I’m not but I might be in a few minutes if you would quiet down.” He said snottily. I groaned in frustration and stomped my foot.

“Im not moving so you might as well sleep.” He said then walked out the door and came back in seconds later with a backpack. I rolled my eyes and walked over to my bed so I could give him another pillow. I grabbed a pillow and when I turned around he was pulling his shirt off and had on a pair of jogger bottoms. Wha? How did he change that quickly? As he pulled off his shirt I could see his tan 8 pack. When he threw his shirt towards me I snapped out of it and glared at him.

“Arsehole.” I mumbled under my breath.

“sorry what was that?” he asked cupping his hand around his ear.

“nothing.” I said then flopped down onto my bed. I grabbed my laptop and logged on and looked through tumblr and wattpad. Once I finished my tea I set the cup down on my bedside table. I turned off the lamp.

“Goodnight Logan.” I whispered into the darkness.

“Goodnight Darc.” He whispered back. I smiled and turned on my side letting sleep overtake my tired body.

A/N: OKAYYYYY im not so proud of this chapter. and it took me a really long time but i was on a really long vacation with no wifiugh it was horrible. but yah so heres the chapter. not my best but i try.
