★Candy's Pov★

I nodded, not really paying attention to what anyone was saying, and let my mind drift to the note. I couldn't believe it, I thought he'd leave me alone!

My eyes widened as I realized that I left the note near the window and there's a good chamce Liam would see it. I couldn't let him know, not yet at least. I excused myself from the table and shot upstairs, as my mind raced with possibilities that might have happened. I didn't want Liam to worry about something that's completely my fault, he doesn't deserve that.

I ripped open the door to see a shocked Liam with the paper in his hands. I could've sworn my heart stopped for that very moment and I couldn't breathe. "Candy," I heard Liam whisper, it would've gone missed by human ears. I felt tears dripping down my cheeks as I sunk to the floor, my knees giving out.

Liam rushed to me, picking me up in his arms as I let out a soundless whimper. I felt myself beung carried and placed on something soft which I knew was our bed. I hugged Liam close as I silently cried in his chest. I couldn't let anything happen to him, that's for sure.

Liam pulled back and lifted up the note, and I dropped my eyes. He put in my hands, silently urging me to read it. I gasped softly as I noticed that this note was different. The one I found started with, 'My sweet, beloved Candace,' and this one started with, 'The Unworthy Alpha,'.

I took the note from him and let my eyes wander. It read, 'The Unworthy Alpha, it appears you have been having trouble with your mate? The cause, you ask? Its me. Candace was originally meant to be handed over to the council when she was born because of the Santier power in her, it was too much for a wolf, and she couldn't even reach it. Because she isn't a werewolf now, the council let her be with her soulmate. But the power that lies within her is too much for just one puny little Luna.

'We will come, and we will take her and claim her as ours, giving us stability, power, reign and make us indestructable. She will give up powerful pups, and we shall raise them to rule. Forever we will be together, for we shall be immortal and you will die of the loss of your mate. We will come soon, Alpha. Be prepared. -An old friend.'

I couldn't breathe. This was too much, I couldn't handle so much. I felt my head spinning as I slowly faded into darkness, hearing Liam call my name.

I woke up in a room I recognized as the medical room in the pack house. I felt odd, something about me was different. I raised my eyes to see a smiling Liam with tears shining in his eyes. What's up with him?

I raised an eyebrow, suddenly feeling extremely pissed. "Someone is planning war against us and your f*cking smiling?" I said, enraged for some reason. I couldnt control it, its like my hormones going out of control. Liam just leaned forward and pressed a kiss to my temple, calming me down immediately.

"Love, you're already feeling the hormones," he chuckled. What the hell? Didn't I always have mixed emotions? "Candy, you're pregnant." he told me softly and my eyes widened.
