Skylers P.O.V

I sat down on the steps outside I didn't know why I got so mad he's right. I don't want to be a lawyer but I had no choice. When my sister died my mom slipped into a really bad state of depression and I can't see her go back to that place. I guess I just don't like to be reminded I can't do what I love.

What did he even mean I look like I would do something creative.

If anything I look basic. I mean he's has only seen this outfit and my pajamas but I have like 4 different north faces and I live in my Bailey bows in winter and low rise white converse I mean I'm not dissing anyone who does or doesn't wear this.

Mali comes out and sits next to me

"I'm sorry I know that's a touchy subject right know" Mali says in a small voice

she doesn't know my sister died all she knows is that my mom went into a depression and my dad covered it up because we were a well known family back in that small town in America

"Its okay he didn't know" I said with a small smile

"Yeah but he could of stayed out of your business" she says coldly

"Its-" I was cut off by joy coming out

" don't forget that tonight is the boys welcome back party at seven and it is formal" joy says with a smile

"Okay mom what time do you want us there" calum says coming out behind her

"I would love it if you and the boys could come over at 6:00 so that you are there before everyone gets there" joy says

"Okay well it's 3:30 know so we're going to go so we can get ready" Mali says

"Okay kiddos bye I'll see you later" David said as he faces us all a hug goodbye along with joy

A as soon as we got into the car calum begins to apologize

"Calum it's okay you don't need to say sorry." I say with a light chuckle

"Are you sure because I feel really bad and-" he said but I cut him off

"Yes I'm sure no stop please" I say with a smile

"Okay"he said with a sigh turning around to face the front

"Okay so what should i wear tonight sky" Mali said as we pull into the drive way

I finally get out of the shower and see Mali sitting on my bed in a robe with 5 dresses beside her

"Okay witch should I wear and which for you" she says

One is a navy blue tank top top with lace covering the top

The second is a dark red half sleeve that goes down to the knee

The third is a white spaghetti strap that goes mid thigh

The fourth is a floral fall off the shoulder

And the last is a long sleeve black lace dress

" I like the floral one for you" she's says in a squeal

I just scrunch up my nose and shake my head

"I like the black one" I say with a shrug

"Yes and oh my god I could give you a Smokey eye and you could wear your cute black wedges" Mali says excited

"I think the white one will look good on you" I say

"I was thinking that too"

"Mali ....I'm leaving" calum yells up the stares and that's when I realize it's 5:00

"Why are you leaving so early" she yells back

"I have to pick up luke" he yells

"Okay bye"she says

"Who's Luke? " I ask

"He's a in calums band" she says with a duh look

"oh" I say looking down

"okay let me just finish this curl and then I will curl your hair " she said dropping the curl down getting up from the chair so i could sit down

after about 12 years of her yelling at me to sit still and me trying not to get burnt we are finally done but we are so going to be late because its 6:45 and a 20 minute drive to her parents house and mali keeps checking her makeup as we are trying to leave.

hey so had to republish because for some reason the last to paragraphs disappeared so I just kinda summed up the last to paragraphs
