(A/N): This is, obviously, my first story on Wattpad so if this Undertale trash is actual trash you understand why. Pun intended. So, let's get through the usual. (A/N) is authors note, (Y/N) is your name. (F/C) is favorite color, (E/C) is eye color; (H/C) is hair color, etc. So that's about it. Thanks! :D
Warning: Horrible Puns ;)
You woke up and grunted at the sunlight peeking through the shades into your dim room. You began to try to roll back, so your face was covered by the only hope of comfort you knew you had left, but as usual, you forgot how small your bed was and yelped as you face planted onto the cold hard wooden floor. You grabbed the side of the bed that led you to be in this situation in the first place and stood up, rubbing the red spot that was beginning to form on your forehead. You lazily walked over to your window and opened the shades, allowing the sunlight to flow into your room. "Man it's a beautiful day outside." You smiled at the sight of the sun beginning to rise. It really was a beautiful day. Birds were singing, flowers were blooming. On days like this, kids like you should be having fun! Grabbing your school clothes you rushed around, packing your stuff, brushing your teeth, the usual. After finally getting your (H/C) hair not to stick up, you stared into the mirror, gazing at your (E/C) eyes. You sighed and picked up the contacts you had lying on top of the sink and slowly put them in, making sure you didn't poke yourself, as you usually do. After successfully putting them in, you stared at your now (F/C) eyes. "Much better."You reassured yourself. You walked downstairs, realizing everyone was asleep still. As you looked at the calendar hanging on your fridge, you immediately face palmed. "Of course I'm off today!" You ran back to your room and changed into dark blue jeans and a blue shirt. You grabbed your white jacket and to your shock your mother stepped out of her and your father's room, rubbing her eyes and yawning. "Mornin' Tor- I mean. Mommy." You said with a bright smile. She waved at you and gave you a lazy smirk. "Imma go take a walk. I might even go grab a bite out somewhere so don't worry about me. Okay?" Your mom nodded and you walked out the door and began to walk to your favorite diner, Grillby's.
You walked in and were immediately greeted by a bunch of familiar monster faces. Yup, monsters. They have lived up on the surface for about a year now, but people still don't seem to accept them. It's sad really. Even though they wouldn't hurt a fly, they get bullied, treated as if they were mere garbage, and lately there were cases of them being murdered by us, humans. Obviously, you enjoy their company. You've made friends with quite a few of them. Even your parents were monsters. Well they aren't your real parents. They adopted you, but no matter what others said about them, you loved them. The monsters all stared at you, and then immediately began to greet you. "Hoi! I'm Temmie" You giggled and waved at the giddy dog monster who greeted you. "I know your name, Temmie." You replied as you sat at your usual seat at the bar. The fire monster owner walked up and put two flaming thumbs up at you, and tilted his head, as if he was a confused puppy. Grillby doesn't speak much, but you knew he was asking if you wanted the usual. You nodded, and he slipped into the back to make another masterpiece of a meal. You rested your head on the table and began to wonder what you could possibly spend this amazing day doing. "Hey, kid." You looked up and saw him, the skeleton monster. He had a smile permanently set upon his face and had two glowing orbs for eyes inside his pitch black eye sockets. He was wearing black shorts, with a stripe going down the sides, and had a white T-shirt on. On top of that he was wearing a blue jacket and what seemed to be pink slippers? "Uh, hey." He put his hand out and stared at you. Realizing the gesture, you grasped his hand and without warning you heard a loud, "Pffffftttttt." You looked at him with a confused expression and he began laughing like a madman. A mad skeleton? "The whoopee cushion in the hand trick," he wiped away his blue, fluorescent tears of joy. "Works every time. My name's Sans, Sans the Skeleton." You looked at him and began to laugh. " Sans? Like font Comic Sans?" He nodded nonchalantly and you couldn't help but giggle. "Name's (Y/N)." Grillby walked back and placed a burger and a cola in front of you. That's when it hit you. You lifted the burger, turned to Sans and said, "Nice to MEAT ya!" You both began to laugh. "Man, you're good kid." He grabbed your cola and smiled. "You're actually pretty coca-COOLa." You realized what just happened and began to crack up, like it was the best thing you've heard in years. "For a human, you're real nice kid. Why is that?" Sans asked. "Oh well. Last year, I was adopted by two monsters. They treated me so kindly and introduced me to all their monster friends. All the monsters I me were total sweethearts!" You smiled, thinking of them all. "But then again," you frowned. "I've been bullied a lot for accepting you guys. Got the scars to prove it." Sans grabbed your shoulder. You realized tears were forming in your eyes and wiped them away. "Thanks for believing in us." You both smiled at each other, and you went back to eating.
After you finished your burger, cola and watching Sans chug an entire bottle of ketchup, you and the skeleton both decided to spend the day with each other. Besides, other than being lazy and making puns, neither of you had anything better to do. "So, would you like to go meet my brother, Papyrus?" You looked at him in shock. "Oh. My. God. Is your whole family named after fonts?" He laughed at your comment and shrugged, "From what I know, yeah." He gave you a lazy smile, which was adorable. Adorable? Wow. You never thought you would ever say that about a skeleton. "Okay let us meet that bro of yours." He grasped your hand and said with a grin, "I know a shortcut."
